I'm just looking for someone to give me several good reasons to drag out the G25 and re install GT5. Its a good game isn't a great reason, so I don't wanna see that a gazillion times.

By posting about it you're obviously interested in GT5, or else you wouldn't have wasted your time. Drag out ye olde G25.

You have a point. What do you (or anyone else for that matter) recommend for getting back into the game for fun. Endurance races are out of the question, however, due to my copy, for whatever reason, refuses to load any time change and weather change tracks. (on the disc anyways)

Do you race online? Because for the near future online is going to be a lot more popular than it was recently.

Twin Ring Motegi just came out as well... Might want to try some hot lapping.

Race stock cars. By which I mean untuned, not NASCAR. Run hot laps on Top Gear or the 'Ring on sports tires. They give much better feel and you can learn the cars true handling characteristics. Might want to consider drag racing or drifting as well.

What are you alluding to sir? Is there a change coming that I'm unaware of?

Every time DLC is released (especially tracks), there is a massive (albeit temporary) increase in people racing online. Mostly racing on the new tracks/with the new cars, but still.

Arcade Mode. It's where proper racing can be found, similar to online but without the trolls and noobs. If you need info about setting up a good Arcade Mode race I've made a thread in this section, it's here somewhere.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's people who are trying the new tracks to see whether or not they should purchase them.

You cannot race on a DLC track unless you buy it

Have PD changed that for Motegi? Because that's not how it was initially for any of the other ones.

Regardless, my point was about the huge increase in interest following a DLC release, and that does bleed over into non-DLC things.

Online is definitely the way to go.
I run a room every night. It always fills up and it’s always fun. It’s slower, low pp cars, but at 400pp you can go side by side through just about any corner.
Just wish we had better mirrors though.

Yes, you can only race on them if you purchased them. Those who haven't bought them can only spectate when in lobbies. When I'm hosting a room, there's 10 people in it but only 4 on the track while everyone spectates.

When Spa/Kart Space first came out, anyone could jump on the track, later they fixed it so if you didn't pay for it, you couldn't drive on it.

The only ways I see people getting on it is when a Seasonal event features it. They've already did it with Spa once, guessing to promote the track.

I can't believe no one has done this yet. I to be "that guy" (and I never have been before), but...

Because RACECAR!

I see. Wonder why they changed that; especially after all the flak this one has been getting compared to the reception Spa got.

Well, in any case, I still stand by my original statement. Online will be quite populated for the next month or so as the DLC temporarily reignites interest in the game in general; so if the OP wants to find a time to get his feet wet again, and he plays online, now's the time.

Here is the best reason: Start playing 24/7 and it will fix any relationship problems you have... you won't have a relationship anymore... problem fixed!
