HELP! I CANT DRIFT AT ALL! I tried all da stuff in da guides but i still cant do it. I started with an FC totally tuned and I can sometimes drift but then i mess up on da exit. I also cant get down where to enter the corner. Please help.

also take time to read the TOS....please type in proper english. (for the most part)

Time is your best friend, the more of it you invest the better you will become. Noone is instanly good at drifting. Lower your hp, make sure you turn the tc and asm off in the settings menu and not in the options menu. Be careful with your throttle. Try a different car, everyone likes something different in the car they drift in. Be detailed with what exaclty your problems are and what the exact setting of your vehicle are and you should get the help you need.

oof, a maxd fc is a bit tail happy, tho is a reasonably good drifter, try starting with a silvia, less hp but still good for drifting

try reading those drift guides...
or if you are using any of the wheels, watch "drift bible volumn 1" by shadowdrifter.

and practice. yes. practice is the best thing to do

Thanks. But which Silvia should I use? S-13, 14, or 15.

doesnt much matter, they're all decent platforms

but the S13 and S14 do tend to be a bit friendlier and easier to setup from my own experience

Ok, make sure your ASM and TCS Controllers are off. Run on sim tires for a while. One thign is to make sure you dont always rely on other peoples settings, start with someone elses, then customize it to your comfortability. Cant get in there at the right time? Set the brake settings 9/19, 19 being the rear. 2 seconds before the turn slam the brakes and turn, youll start to slide, control it untill a second before the exit. Upshift and countersteer completely, full throttle. Wheel or controller is a good question. I reccomend for wheel, mount it to some kin dof table, and get in a comfy chair. For analog controller, use the joystick, itll be your bestfriend.

And how bout some grammar eh? :)

OK. I got the S15 with 268 hp but everytime I turn I immediately spin out. I dont know if its because I'm not at the right bandwidth or something else that I'm not doing right.

lol, right bandwidth eh?
i'll brb, gonna turn on the PS2 and post you my settings for the S15
but dont get discouraged so easily,
I wont go to indepth here like i have in other posts, but drifting is about balance. dont mash the gas all at once (this is probably why you spin), ease into it and off of it. same with countersteering, do it in moderation. too much will make you lose the drift, too little sends you spinning. You have to learn how to balance them, and that means practice.

parts:
fully customizable suspension, sports brakes, brake controller
racing muffler, sports computer
full-racing tranny, triple plate clutch, racing flywheel, carbon driveshaft, full lsd,
sim tires
stage 3 lightweight
this gives something like 282 hp afer break-in

settings:
Spring rates: 13.5 / 10.5
ride height: 90 / 90
bound: 5 / 5
rebound: 7 / 7
camber: 3.0 / 2.0
toe: 0 / -0.5
stabilizers: 4 / 5
brakes balance: 10 / 19
differential: 40 / 50 / 40 <--play with this, its prone to swap ends if you're not careful on the gas. could be troublesome
gears: autogear 24, rest dont touch
asm: 0
tcs: 0

have a go at that, i set my car up fairly stiff, so you might need to change some things to your own liking.

maybe post your own settings so we can help you tune and try to fix the problem. You most likely just need more time with the car though.
