thanks for the suggestion nursemorph but as you say, with a price of 4.5mil its out of my league :D i currently am hoovering at about 3.3mil and thats without buying a car for "rainmasters" in iA and a old timer racecar for the event in iB (i think it was iB) so considering the situation its not quite 3.3mil after buying cars like those, but i was thinking of buying my "super" car for the super events first and then making enough money again to buy the others...

I might be of some help on the Historic Race Car event in the IB section. The Toyota 7 Race Car '70 is a good choice for that event but its at a hefty price of 1,950,000 Cr. The Rainmaster's event i used a Pagani Huayra '13 but there might be other cars you can try out. Good luck and hope my advice helps you out on the races.👍

That's fair enough, playing the game "old school" as you say is going to limit your earning potential and, thus, ability to buy the more expensive cars. The Toyota 7, as suggested by smasherguy is a good choice for the historic event in IB (as is the 2J I suggested!). I guess when you are playing the game connected, then you get spoiled thanks to the seasonals etc (have played my current save for little over a week and have earned 18 mill without repeating events).

Have you done the Red Bull events yet? I assume they still show without internet connection (presumably you connect it to get updates?). That is a good way to get credits (even without the login bonus)

I'd personally suggest buying an LMP race car for the first hand rather than bothering to tune up the one with lower horsepower and performance point if your opponents are using these cars in the races... since it costs too much money for tuning after buying the car on cash and you have to do a lot of trouble like doing the gear settings and so on... and also they still can't get on a par with these inherently fast race cars when it comes handling in the corners.

@nursemorph Yes the red bull events are online and offline but you will have to update your game to 1.02 to race them.

Thanks, wasn't totally sure if they would still be there if you don't use a connection and, while the OP said he was doing it the old school way, he didn't say if he updated the game via internet when the updates are out.

no, i am completly off the internet for my ps3...so i never ever connected it for any updates, and no...the only event's i have is the goodwood festival of speed and those little side-missions on the moon...thats it, oh and something else, people here refer to "LMP" car's...but i dont know what type of car's they mean by that :/ i assume the "c-group" car's like the toyota minolta or something similar ...but i dont know for sure

The LMP or Le Mans Prototype cars are newer c-group cars like the Peugeot 908, the Audi R8 LMP, the R10 and the R18 are a few examples of LMP or group c as other people are calling them.

I'm thinking of buying an LMP does anyone know if there is a particular LMP that is better than the rest? Or are they all about the same?:)

The older ones have more HP, the newer ones have less hp.

Sauber C9 '89 is probably the best bang for buck, it's premium, handles really well and can get 1000hp+. But don't overlook the Pescarolo C60 Hybride Judd Race Car '05 (I think) is an exception to the above rule. It can get over 1000hp as well, corners like the best LMP's, but is a Standard.

Thanks Iain 👍 Its a shame you can't drive them in arcade mode before you buy them. I'm not fussed about premium to be honest as I don't drive in that view. I just want an LMP that's quick and handles relatively well. I did try out the Pug 908 in arcade mode and that drove really nicely:tup:

The 908 is a good choice, you can get the Base Model and paint it in a colour to suit your tastes. I forgot about that one to be honest, it can get over 1000hp as well, but without a good LSD tune and a steady thumb/foot it can be a bit hard to drive at max power.

i wish i would have the "Problem" of having 28mio. rofl :D....
nowcontrol, to answer your question...i never sort of had the feeling to be needing internet connection, i mean you're talking to somebody who was playing consoles since the NES, SNES, N64 and ps2... and afterwards the ps3, so yeah...im old school in that regard, i know it has benefits but i can't be bothered to get another router for my ps3 and pay a monthly amount for internet connection since im using it so rarly...
althou i do get updates on my ps3 in form of new games and so on...

Try using the cars listed in the S class section here
All races bar the 24 minute of LeMan can be don with prize cars and one set of racing hards ($17500).
With all but one race left you will have enough money to buy any LMP car for that one race.

i was wondering to buy the nissan r89c group-C car...i simply dont have the money to buy ton's of cars... i still have to buy a "normal" car for the rainmasters and some other S-event aswell...so i was thinking of the nissan GT-R black edition and on the camaro SZ(something) wich would be used for the 79'er's... wich are 2 events...

I've used the camaro for quite some races. It handles really well, although it needs a custom gearbox on high speed tracks. You'll be bumping the redline otherwise.
I currently don't have any gt-r's in my garage, but I'm doing the rain masters in a Stradale, no trouble so far (not cheap, I know, but I fell in love with it after the goodwood challenge)

so right now im in the international A events with all the car's getting a bit harder to drive against, i bought a corvette ZR1 race car LM and was very very happy with it in the iB events, but now the competition is to strong and the corvette isent good enough in cornering (at least not with hard racing tyres)

so my question is this, since i have now 1,8mil. credits...wich car would you recommend? i was playing with the thought of buying the pagani zonda race car for 1mil. but then i saw on youtube that a lot of people recommend the McLaren f1 race car 95'....

help me plz :/ i dont wanna waste my credits..

There are many good race cars in this bracket. Though I wonder why you can't win with the Corvette you already have. Perhaps try tuning it first?

i tuned the corvette to the maximum, but its not the 2mil. corvette...its the 385k corvette (zr1 lm racecar or something) the reason why its not working is that that particular corvette is brutal in the straights but the grip of the MR after exiting a corner just makes you lose power without getting it effectivly on the ground...so its basicly not all that good for turning and i must say the nissan GT-R R35 touring car that im using right now really is a fairly big improvment over the corvette...

but can somebody plz tell me how the "new" LMP's drive diffrently then other older car's like the toyota minolta or nissan r89c...? because the nissan for example is just 3mil or something...great value for money in terms of PP aswell (and im often looking at PP's)

My suggestion is the Toyota Minolta 88C-V '89, I used it for so many races. It's super fast, versatile, and stays planted on the ground, so you can really drive it hard. Best money I spent in GT6 for sure.

Honda hsv!!

Car drives like the rear tires are on soap with tc off hahah, but it's the best for that race
