Well, if they're not responding to your emails then there's not a lot you can do. Presumably you use the same ISP as the person that's been banned, and because that ISP uses dynamic IP addresses (meaning that your IP address changes every now and again) you've been temporarily assigned the same IP address that the banned user had at some point.

Essentially, if the administrator isn't responding there's not much you can do. I mean think about it: he/she has no guarantee that you're not the same person they banned. Realistically, all you can do is wait for your IP address to renew and hope it's not another one that's been banned. Bit of a pain in the arse I know, but there we go :/

They also could have blocked a range of IP's - 72.212.67.*. I've done that to block googlebots, but it's a bad way to block users.

Regardless, u982245, see if this link lets you get on.

Indeed. Now that would have been a little unprofessional. Or a great way to alienate a few thousand potential members, anyway.

Thank you soo much mate, it worked, :)

I don't mean to be an untrustful bastard here buuut.. How do we know you haven't actually been banned from the forums for a reason and just wanted a way to get round it?

I mean, it's a bit late now but the thought did cross my mind. Oh look, a unicorn.
