I've had my alternator fail on a 99 Alero... thats probably your problem... I had to jury-rig the car to a marine battery with long jumpstart cables to get it to a dealer. I noticed it in the morning and after school the thing completely died in the parking lot of a gas station. If I were you, and had a spare battery laying around in fairly good condition and jumper cables, jumpstart the car using jumper cables and the spare battery and have the battery in the car with the cable coming under the hood to the inside of the car. this is assuming the car is driveable though. I'd suck it up and tell your mom the truth too. if you do take it to the dealer using that method, have ALL accessories OFF. this includes AC, Radio, and lights of any kind. Good luck man.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!

I just saved my ass 60-70$!

I got it on!
Actually it was no problem to install, just a little man work and 10min and your all set!

Today me and a friend went over the car and checked it out..
we find out theres a pully that useless, so we assumed thats for tension, so I unbolt it take off the pulley and place the belt, then installed the pully(a little tough) and thats all! belts back on!, then tightened the belt and were all set, power steering belt back on, got my steering back, battery is fine...but theres one thing....the belt is tight, tight enough where your avg joe can jump under the hood and rip it off...but with the car on, and moving the steering, youll see the belt vibrate as if it werent tight enough...i gotta check on that..but anyways, i really really appriciate your guys help! seriously thnx
