Help Me??

Hey guys,

Im new to GT5 as i have only just purchased a PS3. Im doing the online events and i want to do the time trial and noticed that everyone is using the R390 GT Road car.. Where can i purchase it or win it from?? any help would be good.

Keep refreshing or wait until it comes up on your used car dearership or online car dealership.
 
Hi Lottyd, welcome to the forums!

The car you look for can be obtained in 3 ways:

- from the UCD (Used Car Dealership). This is a random process though, because the list of cars in there are updated randomly eachtime a track is 'loaded'.
- trading it. You can trade cars, or somebody has to be so kind to gift you the car u look for, for free
- from the OCD (Online Car Dealership). Every now and then, the OCD get's updated with cars. This is still a random process for us, since we don't know which cars will be available through the OCD and which not.

Since you're new to GT5, i assume you don't have much ingame Credits yet. Now if the car you look for does come up in the UCD, i'm afraid you can't buy it due to the lack of credits.

My advice for you is to look out for the car in the Trading forum of this website. There are always people kind enough to gift you the car for free.

I'm not sure how much the car is worth ingame. It might be that the car's net worth is over 1 million credits. If so, i'm afraid you can't get the car gifted to you, since cars which are worth over 1 million credits are unable to be traded. In that case, the only way to obtain the car is via the UCD (or the OCD, if it get's updated and it happens to have the car in the list).

You can't trade it can you? ($1mil limit.)

But a level 12 ticket or a '98 ticket can give it to you. You just need patience and to continually reload your game save.
 
hey guys,

Thanks heaps for the quick replies, im sitting on level 32 with around 15mil in credits. i was told that u can skip the lisence testing 5 times for the ucd to reload. i have done this a few times. well more then a few and still nothing... JOSH how can u borrow it from someone.??
 
and here comes the dumb question. how do i send u and FR and what type of FR? and how do u put on share??? sorry as mentioned totally new to all this
 
The people who use it in the TT's are cheating. And thus it's not recomended. Only used by people who don't have the ability to complete it with a car that's within the restrictions.
 
Since when has using the best car the rules allow been cheating?

The R390GT1 is a real road car. It was built to homologate the race version.

There is no point to putting this car on share though. The last time I checked, you can't use shared cars in online A-spec events.

Has this changed?

He wants you to send him a Friend Request (FR). You'll hear that a lot when you're here on GTPlanet. 👍

Either way, you cant trade for it. You can only wait till you get it in the OCD or UCD. Otherwise, as stated above, you can borrow it from someone. Easiest way indeed, good luck with the event and welcome to GTP forums! :)

How is using the R390 cheating? I don't think the game let's you run the race if your car isn't within restrictions.

I have tried the Scuderia but just can't seem to get he gold with this car. Maybe I'm just not a skilled enough driver, but I thought I'm fairly decent.

I've been trying the same thing to get the R390 from the UCD but it never seems to show up there. Any other good cars for this race?

I golded the TT in a Lotus Evora originally, then I used the R390 and definitely improved my times. I'm pretty sure the GT-R '12 can do it as well. I have a nicely-tuned 458 Italia that I'm going to try tonight. 👍

Cars can definitely be borrowed to run Seasonals with, but cannot be used in actual online races in private or public lobbies. Just to clarify. ;)

I was not able to beat a bronze trophy . . . until I hooked up my wheel. I'm all toes when it comes to a thumb controller :crazy:

Did you tune the car I set to online? It wasn't tuned well but I'm sure there will be a tune on GTPlanet for it.

I used a different car. I got gold by 1 second. But I never will get to top 10 as I don't have the time or skill required. So I usually do the time trials in a car I like, not a car that will be an easy win.

Op: Let me know if you need a different car set to share. I have a few.

^This. I've got one on shared status at the moment. It has every possible performance upgrade and a good assortment of tires.

Send me a friend request on PSN (I'm "Kwicko" there, too), I'll add you, and you're off to the races (once you look under my Profile in GT5 and click on the car and hit the "Borrow" button, of course!)
