Realy bad situation!
I bought the gt5 xl edition with dlc package, I had realy fun playing it! My ps3 unit kinda crashed due to this other game I had, so I had to reformat the system bt it was too late that I found out that once unit is reformated, dlc and other saved games wil no longer be recoverd… that was ok with me, d prob ryt now is the game would not be completely installed on my ps3 despite reformating my ps3 systm

A lot of info there... (AUP?). Once you format your PS3, everythings lost (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). The game will automaticily re-install itself, when you insert the disc (just as the first time, after you bought it). I can tell, that your savegame, is lost, unless you got a backup. The DLC can be re-downloaded from the store, for free.

How do I do that?
 
Is it possible to use my old gt5 disc and update it until 2.09, since my gt5 xl would not be recognized by my ps3 unit…
