Here is how this problem came about today. I downloaded the updates today as I have not done so since I've had the game. Some where in the middle of this my PS3 was turned off. 
When I had started the game back up it said that I had version 1.06 At this point everything worked fine. After this I installed the game to the hard drive as I was prompted to do so when the game started. I then waited for this process to properly complete. I then went to sign up for an online account and it asked that I update my PS3 as I have had also not done so prior. I finished the update and signed up for my account. When I entered the game I had noticed that only the directional pad was working and the only way to advance into the menus was to press the center PS button. The game controllers and the steering wheel respond in this same way. All of my other games work. Any ideas?
