I just tried to use my wheel for the first time in a week, and the throttle is stuck wide open. I had been rubberband grinding so I made sure the controller was off, I restarted the race, unplugged the wheel and reset it. I am lost the pedals arent broken, I don't understand what is going on. Any ideas?

Which wheel is it? Do you press the pedals down (before the first race after switching them on) to 'calibrate' them? Is the connection loose or faulty? Does it happen on other games / pc?

I've never "Calibrated them" the connection seems fine, I can use the brakes just fine. I don't have any other games to test it on.

On some wheels pressing the pedals before a race calibrates the pedals. Not sure if this includes the dfgt though. Can you plug in into the pc and use the logitech software to check the pedals? Maybe download a free demo fron the PSN to test on your ps3. If it does the same thing the pedals may be knackered, if not try re-installing the GT5 game data (after backing up your save!) and trying again from there.

Edit: how old is the wheel? If it's getting on a bit maybe it needs some cleaning on the inside.
