Help needed: NASCAR Special event

Hi all

So prior to getting my wheel I had not done this series of events until now & I smoked it all golds until the very last event at Daytona

Can anyone enlighten me on how to nail it? When answering please note the following:

I am using MT
All assists are OFF
I am using slipstream
I've checked YouTube for vids.

It all goes downhill very early on; the first 8 or 9 AI cars just pull away as I am passing the 10th & 11th cars & I can't catch them, it's doing my head in

See now i get spun. Lose the slipstream and cannot catch up i hate this event

The key to this is draft draft draft.Turn off all driving aids.STAY IN THE DRAFT!

ASM is Forced on so Speed will drop very fast if you turn to hard
You should be pulling out into slip stream/draft instantly behind car 10 and following it all the way to the pack which you then drive around into 6 place. You then have to spot the cars that you can follow and it will sling shot you up track that your Drafting behind, Then on the last turn then you pass for first and then on towards the checker flag.

Unless the AI movements have changed, you need to follow and draft off Jimmie Johnson (#48 Lowes Chevy) in turns one and two. You can pick up just a little bit off of Juan Pablo Montoya (#42 Target Chevy), but don't linger past the start/finish line. If you don't get up to the pack by the end of the backstretch, start over. Then it's just tip-toeing with drafting the rest of the way.

It's been over 6 months since I've even seen this event, but it took me many tries, and many fails... so I remember it fairly well.

Try this set-up

You can't change the setup in the Gordon events.

i think if you turn abs off it turns off aswell

ABS can not be turned off anymore since patch 1.09 or something
Not even in race with the steering wheel menu
I did it back then with ABS 0

If you have the Addon content you will also drive the Newer Nascar for this event as do the other drivers.

Yeah I have it, it feels so slow then I check speedo it's going 340kmh!

Set abs to 10 it make a big difference.
