Never liked the HPA R32 that much - the handling isn't all that, especially compared to the Amuse R1, which is just phenomenal. It also has too much turbo lag - anything below 4000rpm in 1st and you are stuck. Reminds me of when I put my foot to the floor in an Impreza (real life) - nothing much happens apart from a slow change in engine note, then suddenly you are catapaulted along the road. Fun, but not useful for neogiating hairpins on low-grip tyres (because sticking R3 or softer on a normal car never solves anything).
I wish PD had just put the stock R32 in - sounds awesome!
As for turbo lag - you need a certain flow rate of gases to get the compressor to do some effective work on the intake gases; hence below a certain engine speed, with a low exhaust gas flow, very little additional pressure is generated - all the exhaust gas energy goes into simply spinning the compresser vanes against the bearing friction etc. (you can tell I'm revising thermodynamics at the moment).
