Help picking out a projector

I know very little about projectors and want to start researching them. Give me some models to take a look at, and some types of screens. I'm setting around a 4000$ limit on the projector, and whatever it takes to get a top notch screen.

I'll be using it for sports, movies, and mostly gaming. I'll be srtting about 14 feet away and want as large as screen as I can stand at that distance.

Few preliminary questions

How big do you want the screen to be? Or how big can it be?
Can you mount the projector anywhere?
Amount of light in the room (Adjustable)?

According to the Viewing Distance Calculator, for sitting 14 feet away you're going to want somewhere in the neighborhood of a 125" diagonal which will set you back ~$500 for a powered or ~$350 for fixed frame screen.

If the veiwing calculator says 125 I would say at least 150. I always set closer then those recommend. I can mount the projector anywhere on my 8 foot high ceiling, and I'm going to make the room as dark as I can get it.
