Hoping someone can help with this as i'm not a member of any techie forums and not sure how to google this issue. I have a relatively new PC running Windows 7 and for some reason, starting today, I am often getting a sound effect which i'd only previously heard when disconnecting a USB device (same sound effect as XP). It's that kinda "badum" sound.
Not sure exactly what is triggering this, seems to be when I close windows or applications, or open them, or both, but it seems a little out of step.
Just wondering if there is a quick fix or if this is a sign that something might be up. Running Spybot S&D now, also went to download Ad-Aware which I always used to use, but seems to be only available as a full antivirus suite now, which I don't want.
EDIT: It stopped, S&D did return something it described as a Trojan so might have been that. Weird though.
