Well, the TOS (clicky) of GTPlanet states that you have to have proper grammar, not words or letters that shorten words like "duz", "b", "u" ect. Also, even correcting your capital letters and words that you've spelt wrong can be edited by the "edit" button below your post. This way your posts can be read more easily.

Plus, donbenni explains pretty much everything you need to know.

Ok so my friend has a PSP and hadn't tried it online, so i thought i would try and pick up a wireless network in my area and bingo, in my bedroom i pick up a good signal with no protection and i can browse the net and play online etc.....

However my question being - Can anyone tell im using their Wi Fi internet connection for goin online?

Barry

I wouldnt of thought so,...Had a quick google search, and i cant find anything saying that they would know you were using their connection. But if they did find out then it wouldnt be too hard to stop you doing it. There are plenty of places around where you can connect up for free, eg some librarys. - Not that this helps me as my Wifi switch is broken!

Well, out wireless router has a routing table, giving the IP address of every computer connected to the router. I'd assume the PSP would show up there aswell, so it is possible for them to spot you. ;)

In one of the booklets that came out of the PSP Value Pack box, there are limitations for WLAN to be used in France, Italy and Spain.

France:
Only to be used inside buidlings, including French overseas departments

Italy:
Damn, this one I can't understand, you'll have to look yourself. :dunce:

Spain:
Only to be used inside buildings or close to them.

Based on my limited knowledge, I think whether they can or cannot tell if you are using a connection is entirely dependent upon the firewall they are using. If it's a good one with a lot of details, it might block it or prompt the user to allow or block "wireless device XXXX" or "Sony PSP XXXX" or something (the Xs are for numbers and letters). Others might not even display it. To be safe, just use hotspots that are supplied in cities, your friends routers (with permission), or just download things via a Mini-B 5 pin USB cable. I got my USB cable for 10 USDs at RadioShack.
