My memory card had some corrupt data that i couldn't delete, then it had my GT3 Game data spoilt, but i erased the whole memory card and it only has 7,897 KB Free, is there some way to format it! so i get my 8 MB Back?????:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Actually I wouldn't trust that memory card again, as it sounds as though it's not quite right. I'd buy another, and toss that one out (or use it to bring things over from friends houses.)
Also, always buy Sony (first party on all consoles) memory cards because 3rd party ones (especially the mega memory ones) have a bad habit of dying.
I think that even Jordan lost data from a 3rd party card once.

I agree with the last 2 post. I had a problem with a 3rd party memory card on my PSX and PS1 that had about 800 blocks. 2 times I lost saved files from GT2 and I was anywhere from 50 - 65 percent through the game each time. Go with the Sony brand for sure.

I ended up getting a 3rd party pack of 2 PS1 memory cards a few years ago. They're the normal 1meg card or whatever the standard size was, and they havn't crapped out on me. Maybe that's because I don't use them too often, I kinda split the game saves up, some games on one card, other games on another card, and most games on the Sony card I originally got.

If you buy a third party card...buy one that is "approved by Sony".
Of course, I was at Wal-Mart the other day and the sony cards were the same price as the others. And, if you get the two pack of Sony cards you actually SAVE money, as the cards are just under 20 bucks each.

I have a Mad Catz 8mb memory card.

it was a black memory card with model number, it was made in Japan, said Playstation 2
Behind said Magicgate,
had some blue writing of "Playstation 2" is that realL

Ick...that sounds like the real deal...sorry to hear it. :(

A little OT, but whenever I see that my memory card has 8 MB capacity - it makes me laugh. Just a few years ago, a game would be considered huge if it used one megabyte (consoles, anyway).
