There's a thread for LS and SF, so we need a LV help thread!

And I need help on the third Woozie casino mission, 'You've Got Chips'.

This one's pissing me off too. That bloody targetting system sucks at times. CJ keeps aiming at the machines instead of the enemies and he keeps targetting enemies behind objects where you can't shoot them.

So much for the fantastic improvements Rockstar have made to the targetting system. 👎

Yeah it took me a while to do that mission. I don't think its because its an especially hard mission, i just thinks its because of the flaws in the targeting system that this mission shows up.

I don't think so, it targets immediate threats, and did so for me. What happened is if there was someone, they would target them. If there was noone to target, it would target a machine.

By the way, a Rocket Launcher from a previous mission greatlty helps to blow up the machines. And watch out for the sniper outside.

Also, it does target people behind objects, but that's because he can see them, but he's behind a wall. I never found this irritating. Just side roll out and blast him.

I see your problem, but it just doesn't irritate me. Oh well.

I killed everyone on that mission then planted explosives (cost me a bundle) and got out and detonated them. easy

I've seen 4 guys on screen shooting at me simultaneously and when I hit R1 it targetted a machine. And as I've said before, the targetting system will regularly pick out someone behind a box or pole which makes them unhittable.

The targetting system just sucks. Despite what some reviews say about how it's been improved, it sucks. I'm beginning to think that for Vice City and San Andreas, Rockstar paid some reviewers to write about the improved targetting system because after 70 odd missions, I just can't see what's so great to write about.

And if you're in a tight area and only one bad guy a few feet from you, most of the time for me it won't target him. It'll go into manual aim mode. Sometimes you'll even swing around 180 degrees from the only target in front of you to aim at nothing im particular.

The targetting system sucks big time. It's my major complaint about San Andreas.

One of the reasons I know it sucks so bad is because the one improvement they've made is the colour coded aiming. It's nice to see someone's health go from green to red as you hit them. It also sucks to know that you've pumped 100 shots into someone who has been autotargetted and their health is still green. What kind of autotarget system picks out someone who can't be shot because they're behind an object?

Meh, I've had no problems. I never got the problem of having 4 guys shooting at me, and targetting a machine. That seems a little odd to me. I like the colour targetting system.

I'll agree that the Targetting System hasn't improved greatly, like they said, but it has improved in my opinion.

I think you've been lucky then. It works okay in open areas with a few enemies but I've had a lot of problems in tight indoor areas with a whole bunch of bad guys. Ah well, I'll just have to retry the mission until I get it right.

I might have been lucky, but I think it's the way I play the game. I'm a very Stealth sort of person, so I take alot of care before going for a kill. Maybe that's it, but who knows, maybe it is luck.

Hi!
Did someone passed that mission were you have to kill thoose two DEA agents, this mission pisses me off but with more playing I should pass it....I suppose! :grumpy: :scared:

Cosmic
What is the mission called?
Maybe I can help you.
Can't say I know, but you have to do it for that asshole Ten Penny or how does he call's him self! :sly:
But I see that you are still at Woozie mission's so I think you can't help because you can play this mission after you do mission's for Woozie,Toreno and Truth!
But,thx anyway! 👍

Take that big truck and drive on the boxes go outside pick them up nad continue doing it until you've got all 4 or 6 boxes/dynamites.

Okey , I need some help.
This is an easy mission it's the "high noon" mission.
And I wonder how do I kill Polaski!?

What you should do, is just grab the dune buggy thing and chase him until he reaches a small town. Once he get's there he'll just go around randomly throughout the town. What I did was after I got to the town, I jacked a Roadtrain(large semi), and shoved him into a corner so he couldn't move. Then after his car gets damaged enough he'll get out, so get out and kill him. Make sure you have full health and armor, because you will take a lot of damage from his shotgun. What I did was hid behind another car and threw granades at him.

I just trapped him under my car and blasted him. Works really well.

Having a little trouble with "House on the Hills" where you get Madd Dogg's Mansion back for him. Can't kill that last fool. The car you chase him with sucks around the Hills area (I like it normally though), and it's impossible to catch him by car. I also couldn't blast him in the house. Too many people came out shooting me when I was just about in sight of him. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't remember having too much trouble with that one. If I recall correctly, I think I had to switch cars because that little ****car caught fire. Just make sure you have plenty of MP5 ammo, and try nudging him out of control a little, then pull up next to him and unload on him.

Also, I don't think it's possible to kill him before you leave the house.

I just chased him shooting from my car, I didnt have too much problem keeping up (This refers to both Polanski and the Madd Dogg mansion guy)

If you drive carefully around the corners an ddon't hit anything, he drives pretty slowly. Do a drive-by job on him.

I completed the mission now , but I have a little trouble with the Vertical Bird. I got the plane but I never hit the spy boats. Even if I use L1 and then press R1 to shoot them :grumpy:

Use the "hover mode",that way you can aim easier!Push down the right analog stick to enter a hover mode and push up right analog stick to exit hover mode! 👍
Sorry, but that's the best I can explain!
P.S I took care of thoose jet planes wich attacked me....It was quite fun! :)

I think you mean "mode" not mod.
Also on that kill polaski mission my hardest part was'nt killing him that easy ebough it was keeping up with him in the Bandito, but managed to jack another car then box him in and it was "goodnite irene"!.
Also did that Madd dogg, mansion mission, with half my health at the start, killed everyone in the mansion, (i used the AK from a previous mission) then got in the car with my health flashing, managed to get him stuck on the centre barrier of the motorway, got outta the car and got ran over oooh pretty angry i was.
Oh well ill just do it again next time with more health should'nt be too hard.
You get the mansion when you kill him i gather?

And I need help on the third Woozie casino mission, 'You've Got Chips'. If this was on a PC, I'd be done in no time, but the targeting system is really pissing me off. Every time I try this damn mission, CJ's targeting goes completely fubar. Either he actually targets an attacker, he targets a machine, or he looks blankly in space while someone rips him to shreds. How the hell did anyone beat this mission? Do you have to just keep trying and hope the targeting system doesn't screw up? Any help would be greatly appreciated, this mission really pisses me off.
ive beat it. all i did was sneak in, kill the tow people outside, kill people in side, then i was low on health so i went over to burger shot and restored my health, but i didnt go to ammu-nation for armor. i went back in killed people, blew up boxes, then done

AAGH! That bloody Vertical Bird mission is driving me nuts. I had it done and then I flew over Area 69 and got shot down! It was about my 10th attempt in a row.

I've discovered that the other pilots are stupid. I never shot them down (are you meant to?). If you fly in and around and under the big bridges they eventually crash into them. Idiots.
