Hi!

We are going to buy a new car but we cant decide what car we should choose. Here are options:

1) Honda Accord
2) Mazda 6 MPS
3) Subaru Legacy

What car would be the best? Tell me your opinion please!

Thank you!

In my opinion, get the Subaru. The Legacy is a great car in my opinion, looks good, and it has the power! They're well made aswell. All of those cars are good really, but in my opinion, the Legacy is the best of them.

If you live anywhere where road conditions are sometimes poor (quality of roads, bad weather etc) then the 4WD Legacy would be a good choice.

None of the three cars you picked are bad, so if you go with any of them, you're going to end up getting a great car anyways.

But, the Accord seems like the best choice. Bulletproof reliability, excellent features, and great build quality. It's arguably the best affordable mid size sedan ever made.

The Mazda would be a better choice if you're looking for a more fun drive, and the Subaru would be better if you want the security of all wheel drive.

They are, but remember that the Accord he's referring to is sold here as the Acura TSX, and the one he's considering is likely using an engine not offered here. Same deal with the Subaru - it's probably the old model, and if it's the new one it's either using the 2.5-liter flat four or a 2-liter not sold here. And the Mazda 6 is certainly not using the V6, which isn't available in Europe. He also could be considering diesels, which of course aren't even close to being available here.

Which is why Quattro20v helped me out and answered the question. :D

If you are in the US, Any of those cars are good, sturdy rides.
I would lean toward the Subaru, just because the AWD would be an asset when the weather gets ugly.

Gil, in his profile, it says he's in Slovakia. ;)

Your profile has you somewhere outside of reality.
What country is that in?
I suppose that if you ask for car advice I can say, check your local paper for the "Mach 5" or "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"?

I saw both of M5's replies, and the original post with "location"
I chose to reply as if he is somewhere other than where his profile says he is. See that way if he's not exactly where he says he is, like yourself, I might be offering helpful advice.

Sorry, if I sound *****y.:D

Are you implying that, I am indeed, Not, just outside of reality? Wow. I'll go update my profile for you. Maybe I'll be forgiven.

The MPS has AWD also.

I'd go for the Mazda 6 MPS personaly, just because my Dad has owned a 2-litre one for over a year now and is a cracking car. Handles well, lots of space, very good looking and nothing ever went wrong with it. The MPS enhances on the handling which is a very good thing. :)

I know the other cars might do and have the exactly same things, but I'm just lettting to know on experience that the Mazda 6 is a cracking car. 👍

 That was classic. And a much-needed point too. It's not a problem anywhere but in ther car forum; I can't stand when I see people ask for car advice or post about a car then have either no location or a false one. At least post country of origin, folks - it helps.

Yeah, I forgot about the Accord in Europe. I was going to say Legacy, then Accord, but now I think it's a tie. I don't know, if you can afford Legacy, maybe it's better......... I don't know. Wait. Legacy. But Accord, if the price become an issue.

Updated, for you, Doug.

Having direct experience of the 'euro-accord', I'd say the difference in terms of practicality is not much.

I'd go for the Accord, less money, better mileage, practical for almost any road situation short of a muddy bog, and easier to maintain in the long run. But if you can afford the price and parts out there in Slovakia, then, by all means, get the Legacy.

By Mazda 6 MPS, do you by any chance mean the 2.3T AWD? I wasn't aware that was even out yet...

Then by all means, get that sucker... ...if you love to drive, please buy it. :D

But the Accord is still the most practical of the three. :)

If he's referring to it as the TSX in the US. BUY IT! We have one. Great Car. Great Reliability. Note, get all season tires. Performance tires don't do well in snow....

I wasn't mad. Nor do you need forgiving.
But, I believe that I was making a valid point.
Also, others have posted utter BS and my back was up.
I was also having a *****y moment, and didn't couch my words.
I am also possessed of a sometimes ascerbic wit (which Rumple Foreskin encoraged me to use once in a while):D
Sorry it had to be you I broke it out on.👍
