Hi everyone

Next week a few of us are doing a 2 hour online race at LeMans. I'm after some advice on which car to use as I don't have time to do any testing between now and then. The cars I have to choose from are;

Pescarolo C60 Peugeot
Bentley Speed 12
Audi R10 TDI
Peugeot 908
Audi R8 01 (In the ocd)
Audi R8 05 (In the ocd)

PP will be limited to 700 and I'm pretty sure we'll all be running them stock other than tuned down to 700. Is there a car in this list that is fast and good to its tyres or vice versa, is there a car that's slower than the others and has terrible tyre wear that I should avoid?

Avoid the R10. Slow slow slow slow slow (or, rather, it's realistic and none of the others are). The 908 will chew up tires like mad because of all of the torque. All of the V10 Peskys are tire destroyers as well, and the '03 is one of the best on tires in the class (but it's quite slow).

Between the other three it's basically a wash since they are all basically the same thing. Just choose the one that you like the looks of most.

Thanks guys. I'll have a quick spin in the Bentley and see if I can put up with the cockpit view, otherwise I'll take one of the Audi R8s

Keep in mind that, while they are basically the same, the '01 is somewhat faster stock (the '01 is one of the fastest LMP/Group C cars in the game, period); and that should transfer over when you drag them down to 700PP.

The best for longer races that gets good fuel mileage and tire life is the 905.

But out of the list above, the R8 '01 would be my personal choice

There is a Speed 12 in the game?!

Anyway, if I were to choose, I would go for the R8 (forgot which year's version though :p)

I would definitely go with the R8 '01. Great cat and as others have said very fast. Mind your right foot so that you don't shred the rear tires and you should be good to go IMHO.

Thanks guys for all your help. The event was run and won by yours truley in the Bentley. Had a great battle with a Sauber until he ran out of petrol on lap 23 of 30. allowing me a cruisy run home for victory.

I've since done some laps in the Audi and Peugeot 908. Have to agree the R8 01 is the quickest out of them all. All will do 7 laps of La Sarthe on Racing Hards although the R8 does get rather loose by lap 7.
