Help with Divx!

Im having trouble with my current Divx Player. Its the newest one avaliable I checked. Anyways a few weeks ago, I found out that my Divx Player would not play any video file at all. From AVI to MPEG, it didnt work. While other players could play it, the divx couldnt. Divx is very clear on my PC and it works really good thats why I love it. I use it all the time. Now that its broken I use Real Player and Window Media, both are good players but it tends to stick. Maybe because my PC is only 400mpz!!

Anyways, I have tried reinstalling it. Dosent work. I hope you guys can help me out here.

It saids two things. I have tried many videos, it either say one or the other of the following:

"Divx Player: Open File Failure

This file cannot be opened

UNKNOWN EXCEPTION CAUGHT"

and the other one is

"Divx Player: Video Rendering Failure

Unable to render video

The Divx Player is unable to initialize the video software required to play this file. There is likely problem with your DirectX Installation. Please reinstall your DirectX and try again."

I tried both reinstalling Divx and DirectX, even with that done, it wont work. Please help.
 
Maybe you could try your system restore if it's available on your computer. That usually works when I have installation problems etc.
 
I did Delete and Reinstall Divx Player. Wont Work.

As for Winamp, the file im trying to run is an AVI, Real Player and Media Player both have picture and sounds but the picture are upside down. Any help on that?!
 
yeah 99.99% of the time it's becasue another codec is getting in the way especially those generic ones like xvid, 3vix etc. uninstall em all. If you want codecs I suggest the nemo codec pack. :)
 
Ill try it out, I doubt it will work.


Edit: I try it out, didnt work. :( I dont understand, one day suddenly it stop working!!
