I got browsing for an oddball drift car so I chose the viper GTS-R concept. It seems to be what I am looking for and well it is giving me problems
i am trying to get my viper gts-r concept to drift and it isnt wanting to work. It is making 530hp with full race driveline and the semi race suspension on the s3 tires. any suggestions or ideas it dont matter if you are a noob or what they would all help.....

OK the first thing i would sugest is checking out the drift settings depot for settings, if that fails leave a request in that thread for some settings some will get back to you. I think that you have the wrong tires choice at the moment try using n3 or n2 tires see if that helps.

NO! wrong! second time you've said that, but the first time the thread got locked before I could correct you.

Requests are to be PM'd to me, not put in the thread.
It's alright though, GT40 MKII did it properly dispite ill advice.

what? is it a crime that I want a drift viper..... I honestly am a viper fan and I have built a couple of other drift cars but this one is giving me problems

No dude, you're not in trouble :) He was getting on the guy who told you to post a request because you're supposed to PM TS instead.

lol - ya, what JTSnooks said, heh. Your PM'd request is going up momentarily in the depot's first post.

and dont sweat it suislide, I do appreciate you directing people to the correct place. But now you know

The '99 Viper drifts pretty well stock, but that's not what he's talking about either :D Talkin about the GTS-R concept car :) Haven't tried drifting it yet...it looks too much like a grip racer to look good sideways :D

you should be ashamed of yourself for struggling to drift any rwd car over 300hp unless it is extrememly heavy. :indiff:

or if you have the ds2 i guess.

It's...not that hard, Gab...

I drift a 550+hp SVT Mustang rather smoothly. My brother drifts his GTS Viper rather well, also, with around 460. We run them on racing super hard tires.

Hey I have had this happen before as well with an oddball drifter.

Look at the car you want, its a high hp fr car. Now go into the settings depot and look for cars that vaguely fit into that category. For example the toms chaser (I think that’s in the depot).

Just go in and print out a variety of possible car setups to tweak around with on your car... or, you could just wait for a viper submission, i dunno hope this helps :)

Here's my brother's setup for his GTS: (from the Dodge "Classics" showroom)

Super hard racing tires
Oil change
All drivetrain mods
Full customize LSD
all "others" modifcations

Settings: aids @ 0
all LSD settings at max
transmission autoset to about 8

Use a manual transmission and you should be set.

i dont understand ur reply to what i said ten. my pt was that drifting high powered cars is not hard.

Well GABKICKS all my other drift cars are UNDER 300HP (or slightly over eg: my benz) but i wanted to try a viper but it had some bugs so i asked a few experts before I make anymore mods to the snake

what is it the simple fact that i can make one hell of a point or what; well the deal is that idrift some in jdm cars but i also like to have a few american drifters also and since the viper is the ultimate american musclecar i figured, why not make it drift.

corvette is better :sly:

I never heard of anyone struggling to drift any rear wheel drive car with over 300hp that weighs less than ten tons.

Is this thread done now?
