Help with GT7 graphics settings on PS5

Hi everyone,


I’m new to GT7 and I’ve just set up my full equipment (PS5, new monitor, wheel etc.). I’ve been searching for days, but I still find it very confusing when it comes to the best graphics settings. Some say I should focus on 120 Hz and FPS, others recommend prioritizing image quality.


I’d really like to set up my system the same way that the top drivers do (for example, people like Tidgney, Hizal, Gallo, etc.).


Could I kindly ask for some guidance on these points:


PS5 settings


  • Do you run at 60 Hz or 120 Hz?
  • Do you keep HDR and VRR on?
  • Which resolution do you use (1080p, 1440p or 4K)?
  • Do you select “Performance Mode” or “Resolution Mode”?

Monitor settings


  • Which picture mode works best (Gaming/FPS or Custom)?
  • Do you adjust brightness, contrast, gamma, or color space (RGB/YCbCr)?
  • Do you enable Overdrive or other gaming features on the monitor?

GT7 in-game settings


  • Do you prioritize frame rate or image quality?
  • Any recommendations for brightness, color balance, or motion blur?
  • Are there any other important tweaks I should know about?

I’d love to configure my setup as close as possible to what the pros are using. Any advice would mean a lot – thanks in advance! 🙏
 
I use performance mode. At 4k, I don't see enough graphical improvement to warrant the HDR and VRR. I'm also not a fan of HDR in general for this game.

AS for the other stuff, it really depends on your monitor and your preferences. You simply want to have as little disconnect as possible between your inputs and what happens on screen.
