plz help i cannont do ib 1-2 i keep either spinning beacuse of going to far to the outer edge of the circle orr nocking the cones over please help this is the same with ib-2:(

For IB-1, make sure you have manual transmission and be sure not to take it out of second gear. For IB-2, do the same thing, but makes sure not to take it out of 3rd gear.

And you should pump the gas, not floor it down all the way. If you happen to be slipping to the outside.. you're going too fast. View the demo too. It helps!

when u hit the 3/4 mark on the last lap...open it up and go full speed to the end. it won't matter if u wind up on the outside b/c it is the last time around. the time u gain makes up for it.

Don't floor it, and keep a constant speed which will keep you on the rumble strip, try to stay in contact with the rumble strip as it will give you better grip and allow you to go a little faster.

Dodge the Viper, sorry to be a boffin but your wrong, being in contact with the rumble strips gives you less grip.

the theory "the more rubber on the road the more grip"
is a key feature here and with being on the rumble strip the surface is not smooth unlike the tarmac.

Inte.

Oh, well anyway, it worked for me...;)

I thought I read somewhere, that when going a round a corner, using the rumble strip will help you get around the corner at a faster speed? Not a much faster speed, but still faster.

might be faster cause you're making a tighter turn. the rumble strip does slow you down a bit if you're on it for too long. you could also spin out if you're on the strip and punch the gas....or maybe it's just my bad driving skills. :D

Ah, the wet circle test. Are you having trouble passing it or getting gold on it? It is not that different from the dry circle, only that you can spin out more easily. You should watch the demo and keep an eye on the speedometer and note the speed range. Once you know how fast you should be travelling, you should work on the acceleration. Getting a good acceleration can save you as much as a tenth of a second. Try to maintain contact with the rumble strip, not because it gives you better grip, but you'd have a smaller radius, which means less distance to travel, which means better time. Note the lap times of the demo and try to keep up. Some people like using ghosts, I personally don't. Be careful that the rumble strip doesn't bump you into the cones. A common misconception about this test is that you should be steering right the entire time, that is simply not the case. You will be tapping right a lot, the idea here is to maintain speed and control. You are not trying to go faster here. You are trying to travel in a smaller circle. If you try to go faster, you'll find that things will start to fall apart rather quickly. Good luck.

Yes, another fun one. This one requires a lot of trial and error. First, get yourself as close to the left rail as you can without touching it. Then you will need to brake and pull a HARD right. If I recall correctly the demo brakes down to 58 mph. It is possible to brake down to 62 mph, although not necessary for bronze. The braking point from first person view is approximately when the 100 meter sign gets out of view (don't quote me on it though, I'm doing all this from memory). Train yourself on that first turn until you have it down perfect, at least matching the demo at checkpoint 1 everytime (Maybe .500 slower if you're just going for bronze). That second turn is a bit trickier IMO. Spend a round to stop and examine the second turn. Look for a straight line through both turn 2 and 3, then visually memorize where that is. The demo let go of the brake to slow down for the second turn, I heeltoed, it is up to you. Because you will be making those two turns at 100+ mph, it will be fairly close to traveling in a straight line. Knowing that line will give you a good idea as to when to start your hard left and when to shift from hard left to hard right. But like I said, it's a lot of trial and error, so be patient. Good luck.
