I know there was a thread on here before about this but I couldn't find it. I've gotten gold on every other license test but this stands in my way. But for this I have only been able to bronze it.

I've spent a few hours on it already. Generally after 4 or 5 runs I can work out what I did wrong and start shaving seconds off. But with this car it seems every time I push it, it understeers it's way into a field. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using a DS3 with R2 and L2 as gas and brake and a manual transimission. Thanks in advance!

Is this the Bugatti around Ascari? If so then I found that turning the driving line on really helped me. The braking points are way off but at least you have something consistent to measure against and after a few laps you'll learn where your optimum brake points are to keep the car moving and grab those vital tenths.

Good luck 👍

Try also increasing the controller sensitivity up to 7 as I find it helps a bit with cars that have major understeer issues....it just helps to turn the car a bit more.

The other thing is that Update 1.04 has screwed up the characteristics of quite a few AWD cars, making them handle more like RWD. Not sure if that would contribute to understeer or not but it may be enough to give issues. I know there is a recent thread where someone who golded the event pre-update can only get bronze time now due to the problems. As I said, may not be having an effect for you but worth considering....and maybe leaving it till they fix the issue

The recent ninja update may have helped fix that 4WD issue. The problem is that the text accompanying these updates is so vague it could mean almost anything :)

lol...very true. And, yes, according to the update info it is fixing the issue with screwed up characteristics of some 4WD cars so the issue should, hopefully, be fixed

I actually found the Bugatti felt a bit more loose (oversteer-y) than before they updated. Could just be my imagination though. Down to 2.5 seconds shy of gold, so I'm getting there. Don't know why I'm having such trouble on this. Maybe because I don't enjoy driving the Veyron :boggled: .

It's a heavy car, going fast, so you need to brake early, Ascari is a tough track, take your time, there are a few turns you can blast through even though the gear suggested is low, practice, practice, practice...

Run it and then run it before you run it some more. This may be the only license test that actually made me faster in other cars because it showed me that being smooth is crucial. I also have a healthy appreciation for the car and just how well its tires and suspension manage its mass and power. The earlier you can stop braking the better as well, it understeers heavily when doing so and there is no way to adjust the brake balance.

Finally was able to get some racing in again this evening. I felt fast for some reason after 11 hours of work haha. Anyhow, after going off the track 20 plus times I finally completed a lap at .2 seconds off. Very next lap I finished with almost half a second to spare.:D Thanks for all your help everyone! Especially the driving line tip and braking earlier. GTplanet is awesome!:gtpflag:

Turn down the traction control to 3 and abs to 3 that helped me.
