Well when I got my wheel last july the pedals weren't spaced out, so when I had to go and work, I asked my brother to move the brake pedal to the left hole, which he did. But while he was at it, he tried the first screw with the wrong size allen screw and almost run it. I just left it at that. But When I got the right size at it 2 weeks ago planning to reverse mount them, the hole in the screw was rung into a circle.

I asked a few people what to do to get it out and a new one in, and I got the answer "you'll probably have to drill it out", and I knew that would require re-tapping the hole and I don't have screw taps right now. Would there be any other way of getting the dam screw out? I'm getting more eager to get it out but Nobody can think of a simple way, do any of you guys have an idea you could share?

What I usually do when this happens is use a dremel with a cutting wheel attachment to cut a slot in the head of the screw and use a flat head screwdriver to take it out. The problem with that is if the screw is flush with any warranty-sensitive things that can't be damaged there's the risk of, well, damaging it. Also you'll need safely goggles because of sparks and fine metal flying around. Other than that there is something you can get which is like a screw with the thread going the other way so you turn it counter clockwise to screw it in to another screw, then when it's all the way in and you keep turning it the stuck screw starts to turn, but I can't remember what they're called...

I don't have them haha. I was thinking of getting a small bar and put a small weld onto it to the screw.

I might. Just bring it down to a metalworker and give him a diver or tenner to get it out.

I used a left handed/sided drill bit to get mine out when I installed my nixim mod. The screw on my clutch pedal had the same problem. I can't remember the size though, but it worked like a charm.

Good luck.

Wait, are your pedals in the plastic casing or bolted to a board?

It's gonna be really tough not to burn or melt the plastic casing if you're going to do that. plus the bolts are (most likely) anodized, doesn't that make it hard or impossible to weld? (it's been a few years since I took that shop class) :)

Sometimes I find that I can hammer a slightly bigger Allan key into a hole to that it has just enough grip to get it loosened enough to undo it by hand the rest of the way. This method would probably be easier if you left the other bolt for that pedal in place until you have the problem removed.

Ill have a look for one of them. So it just basically grips the screw and turns it out?

Yeah they are, I never thought of that. Thanks.

An easy-out did the trick for me when I striped the allen head of one of my screws.

That's what I was talking about, an easy-out. Totally forgot what they were called, thanks!
