Im new with forums and stuff, so just a question, how do i post videos? Like the video is on the thread and not just a link.

Step 1. Find the URL of the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U013CuDO5M


Step 2. Find the video code. its the part at the end after the rest of the URL. I have bolded it above.


Step 3. Take the video code and put it inbetween youtube tags, like so:

[media=youtube]6U013CuDO5M[/media]


Now you're ready to post!

If it's a YouTube or Vimeo video, just put the "video code" between the repsective tags:

[media=youtube]video link[/media]
[media=vimeo]video link[/media]

Example
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=[b]C3cdEIsXFJ4[/b] = [media=youtube]C3cdEIsXFJ4[/media]



If it's a link, just add the URL. Sometimes the link is more effective than embedding the video, especially if it's not a YouTube/Vimeo video.

You can't directly upload videos or photos as an attachment to GTPlanet...not even I have access to that. But there is a photo gallery included with each membership; check you profile for details, and you can hotlink an image between tags.
