Umm... yeah. :looks down: Ok, I'm gonna need some new whitie tighties.

I think the next big step for tunners is 2000BHP, it may take a while for most tunners. And Tunning companies, but once they get too that mark.

The they will be more proud of themselfs.

I don't realy see 2000Bhp road cars taking off, I mean 1000Bhp cars still haven't really taken off but they are in the process of doing so as best a 1000Bhp expensive, exessive car probably can, but 2000Bhp, were at an extreme already. I suppose the tuning world is mad enough, but with current engine manufacturing, your not going to get much reliability out of it, 1000Bhp cars can be bad enough as it is.

By then we'll have 6 wheel drive :dopey:

Are there any 6 wheeled cars out there?

The Covini C6W.

@Niky: Hennesseys are always breaking down. Road and Track held a top-speed comparo in 1998 with a Hennessey viper. The Venom 600 Hennessey brought broke an oil-cooler line and started on fire, so Hennessey brought out a back-up car, a Venom 550, which broke its timing chain and made piston-valve contact.

More recently, Road and Track held a mile-long acceleration test which included the car of this topic, the Venom 1000. The Ford GT, Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, and Ruf R Turbo were faster from 0 to 60, but the Venom dominated the 0-150, 100-150, 100-200, and 0-200 tests (excluding the Lola Champ car)...

Vonie
I think it's designed by the same guy that had a part in the 6-wheeled F1 cars of yester-year.
I don't think it was the same designer as the Tyrell F1 car.

The Standing Mile test was cool.

It took a freaking racecar to outdo the Venom 1000, and it was heavily traction limited on the 0-60 run.

I think there is a street viper running 1600 Hp or so that is trying to break the 8's I believe, or is it lower now?

Raghavan
Yup, especially considering that the Ariel Atom, which is less than 1/4 th the price can match or beat that time.

Sorry, but the 200-horse Ariel won't be keeping up with the Hennessey after they hit 100mph.

Toronado
Yeah, but a Honda Civic could probably outrun it to 60.

If you're talking about the Hennessey, that better be colorful exaggeration...

...or a slow-witted, lead-footed Hennessey driver... :dunce:
