You've never had it? Ive had it from day 1. Im going through the menu's and the game just freezes. The arrow still flashes, the music still plays every thing works accept the ability to control. It isnt my playstation as its a brand new slim and it isnt my game(first hand from the shop, sealed). My friends have the same problem. What annoys me most is ive just completed the intermediate rally challenge and won a premium wrc ford focus and it jams. So i rebooted the game to find my rally ticket hasnt been used to win a rubbish standard rally car.
Also, it only hangs while communicating with the server. Thus the issue is either getting out of your network (beyond PD's control) or getting into Sony's (beyond PD's control). A bit of patience and it'll either resolve through being able to connect or by not being able to connect. If it's a big problem, disconnect your PS3 from the internet altogether while you play through the game.
