well the reason for my post  about an aspect in the gt3 called, " HAND BRAKE"
why is it since gt1 and this feature is with the same problem, you hit handbrake, r.p.m. goes down and the car behave irradically.
4 wheell drive cars should keep on going.
i can not understand such minor glitches, i bought gt3 bundle pack, then i returned it, call me crazy, call me dumb.
but the reason is that rally cars did not behave properly, though i still have the memory card with all liscences in gold and the prize cars that you get pluss all the rally cars in the game(gt3)
and one more thing guys, i found an itallian website where you can download rally cars for the game collin mcrae 2.0, and these cars are designed by independent gamers and then transfered into the game through the memory card, i was wondering is it the same way the Lambourghini Diablo was done and if so can other cars be done.
and milkmen you know the guy from germany, i love you man!!!!!!!
don't beleive it, i'm straight!! :p

Long Live Rallying, and carlos sainz

Now let me get this straight, you grab the hand brake and locking the drive wheels and can't figure out why the car becomes irradically? Tell you what, next time your riding in the car with your dad, grab that hand brake and let me know what happens.

i just borrowed the car from dady, you know it was not easy since he lives about 2 continents away :D , but i managed to get my hands on a car, and that was mine :D .
what i am trying to say is that when you drive manual 4 wheell drive cars in the game and hit the handbrake it should slide but at the same time when you step on the gas it should keep on moving num nuts.
this message was brought to you by dady's boy, addressed to the above genius!!

The rally cars behave more realisticly in GT3 than Colin McRae, their not easy to drive.
The "hand brake" is also known as a "parking brake" its sole purpose is to prevent the car from moving while parked. It is connected to the braking system(usually the rear wheels) by a mechanical system(a cable). Because of this, their is very little "give" in the system, this type of braking is usually all or nothing. The normal response would be to lock the rear wheels, causing the car to slide the back end and loose control. You mention the RPM dropping, in the real world, with a manual trans., if you did not press in the clutch first, you would stall the engine completely, 4wd or not. The reason this is true in 4wd cars is because the drivetrain is designed to only send a certain amount of torque to the front wheels, it cannot send all of it there, so the engine would still bog or stall.
And there you have the answer to your question, now go pull the hand brake next time your riding with your daddy

And Daddy is spelled with 2 d's, numb nuts

thank's man for the info and the spelling check.
but frankly you are telling me things that i know, but the game is all about racing and racing modified cars don't behave like street cars, so basically gt33 is giving you the looks of a race car and some of it's handling.
come on admited gt3 is the rpg of drving games :D :D
long live rallying

i saw you'r website and i admit, you are a dedicated gt3 fan, and i liked that, maybe i can learn a thing or two from you.

actually, race cars have to obey the same laws of physics that street cars do.
but, in a round about way your allmost right, race cars should not do this.... because they do not have hand brakes :banghead:

Having driven rally cars for 5 years now I can tell you, GT3 has captured it perfectly. You have a moving surface, locked wheels, downforce in the wrong place, an engine trying to die, and steering controls fighting back like you're armwrestling Arnie. Handbrake turns in rallying are different to those down at the supermarket at night...

I know exactlly what you mean Andy, I was all cocky and sure of myself the first time I went rallying(brail rally) it is a very humbeling experence to race on a surface that moves!

I'm sure boat racing is the same way.
