There was a time a while back when I started seeing these types of comments like "where's the mods?" and "this thread needs to be locked" and I posted a thread in the feedback forum about "Wannabe Moderators"

A couple of mods stated that this doesn't help in any way and adds nothing to the thread, as well as being annoying.

But you didn't know, so 👍

Only if they post something along the lines of "in before the lock!" or "haha, how much do you want to bet this'll get locked?"

If you feel a thread has no reason being open, the way to ask mods to close it is via the "Report" button, located next to "Quote."

Posting "this thread should be locked" or "where's the mods?" doesn't help because the mods have to stumble across your reply all by themselves, and by the time they see it, they're likely to have already read the thread and decided its fate, because it's all on the same page.

For what it's worth, Pako stopped in and replied without closing this thread (see post #5). If he thinks it's worth leaving open, I'd say it's safe to assume it'll stay that way, unless we continue to go off-topic by talking about GTP policy.

There was no humiliation or belittlement intended. Only clarification of the way GTP's moderators want members to request thread closure, and specificity of the report button's location.

Between this discussion though you had no clue who I am and I understand you were trying to help. No replies yet from 300, and for what it's worth, the first thing I did was check the IP address hoping a little inside info would help, but no match. I'm sure this thread will die on it's own.
