hello,
i normaly dont do this, acctually never did.mostly i was just reading post like this, which were very much related to me .
but after 3 reset of DR and SR in 3 weeks its little bit too much for my health.im not saying im the best driver here, but when you trying to avoid contact hitting other people and stay much as possible in the highest SR,than like i said this is too much for me.

today started to play DAILY RACE B (nordschleife) but after clean race from pole,to get like 4 SR up is a freaking joke.and then in an other race if somebody pushes you out of the track you get penalty and basicaly you loose more SR than accually gain ,even tho, you get just once off the track because of someone, then the rest is perfect, you win the race and youre MINUS SR.

so after couple races today and of course last week BRAND HATCH i got finally back where i was 3 weeks ago, even actually higher to 35.900 DR and like i said with the SR i was little bit strugeling today in race B. BUT STILL IN S.

i decided to do some RACE C,cuz its longer race,i know how to stay on the track to raise mine SR rating ,because i was high A at that moment.
did 10 quali laps ,ended up 5th on the on the starting grid. and that was the biggest mistake to enter this childrens playground.

i guess theyre parents wanted to buy them mario kart ,or destruction derby, but by an accident they got GT SPORT ,for them ,and thats how its looked like.

another reset downt to 15.000 DR FROM 35.900 DR,and of course SR down to C. so the whole week batteling to go up again, and then one race with retards, you just realize how much you waisted youre time for something.

i didnt even finish first lap and was 19th from 20.

if you want to really see where i ended up i shared it on gt sport , dinoco_91 is my psn.

One thing that I've learned about Sport Mode is that maintaining your S rating is absolutely imperative at all costs.

If you've dipped below S you must start back-marking in races until you get back to S. Yes, it hurts your DR a little. Yes, losing 1 or 2k DR is much better than getting a DR reset, which sure as you're born, will happen if you try to race B/A players.

Trying to battle your way through races in SR:A or even worse, B, is a surefire, one way ticket to a DR reset.

You're an easy target man, especially after looking you up on KudosPrime. But personally, I think the DR Reset system is Sport Modes biggest mistake. All it does is punish the skilled racers and reward the dirty ones who just want wins and poles. So I sympathize.

Nordschleife is not really a racetrack for GTS, especially on race B

Correction GT Sports' general audience is not really race material for the Nordschleife.

It's a great race track and hopefully the limited SR budget (max 5) will help get the trouble makers out of SR.S. The only problem is I'm currently also struggling to get back to SR.S. Working my way up through the field in SR.A I encounter at least one genuine dirty driver per race. It's as easy as tap you from behind then drive off-track to give you a penalty. In my last race the same driver tried it 3 times on me, succeeded once to give me a 4 sec penalty and 7 SR loss for the race. He's off to SR.B though as the other times he failed and hit other people during the race as well.

Check out
Snailracing.org.
Great league and very clean racing.

@dinoco_91 - There are loads of other great leagues & clubs on here that offer the kind of racing you're after, check 'em out.

@Alpha Cipher
mate, wasn't your best response

@dinoco_91
I understand you, I struggle sometimes with SR also. But I must say, after checking your Kudosprime curves, you should consider to change something on your side also. Your curves are playing crazy from the beginning. I guess a little bit holding back even on DR costs would help. Good luck!

@Alpha Cipher, ignore them. A perfectly warranted remark I thought! These "I'm done with the game" threads are popping up every few days and are frankly very boring and repetitive. Who cares? Leave the game, find something else but do we really need yet another report about it? I get fed up and want to quit my job everyday because of other idiots actions. I don't take to social media about it and report about it though because no one cares - it's just how life is. Sounds harsh? Probably. But then no one ever said life would be easy!

Here was me thinking that the game was about racing. Little did I realise that it was about making a meaningless DR number bigger.
Its not DR is a measurement of how quick in races you are, if your at the stage whereby increases are less then that is how quick you are in relation to other sport mode participants.

Move away from thinking that DR is to be grown, it is not xp, credits, mileage points, its a measurement, it can go up or down and is supposed to be fluid.

I don't think a forum is limited only for positive posts with full of joy, or exchanging informations. Sometimes a forum also should be there to vent your frustration, as long as you stay respectfull and also on the matter. The matter op mentioned isn't that much unusal. Many people struggle to get their SR up but don't know how. Thats why some of us recomended him to stay calm and learn to back off.

OP didn't simply wrote that everything is **** and GTS can go to hell, in that case of course bye bye then, but it looked like he just needed to vent and was not disrespectfull to the community.

Like others say. It's time to move away from sport mode and maybe find a league of two to race. This way you can meet likeminded races and enjoy scheduled races with other people who are all (mostly) clean racers.

Have anxiety attacks?

Switch to Mudrunners for a little while and then try coming back. It worked for me... well that and like actually doing other relaxing things to settle down my hypertension.

I tried doing a few FORZA 7 public lobbies and after that, GT Sport mode felt super clean. Still have a headache from all the crazy ramming though.

i was just frustrated,thats all.

i guess you didnt get the whole point. did you? if you buy call of duty game ,you buying it for a purpose, right?the same with fifa or nhl.or any.
if you buy cars game ,racing game, and you have guts to play online,it SHOULD MEAN you want to race and simulate the feeling and racing like real racers do.if you hitting people for no reason and then the penalty and dr system comes in place. than the whole thinng is just a big nonsense.

if you play nhl or fifa you want to score and you playing that sport.youre not accutally doing stuff which is not related to the game.
i guess you must be one of those... you might find yourself on the video im sharing. : )))

Ah, yeah, good point dinoco_91... Because I'm sure nobody on this game has ever intentionally killed a Sim, done a donut in GT, driven normally in GTA Online or anything like that.

Everybody 100% plays games EXACTLY as the developers intended them.

They don't, this is the real world and there are a lot of people that play games as a release. If you don't like the heat, stay out of the fire - which you keep threatening to do, yet still you're here.

o
of corse im still here, why woudnt i be?

and yes youre right, there is a good feeling about it ,not to play as you supposed to. and even better if you put cheats and hacks in the place, and then you are unbeatable, 1st in rankings, lets say most kills in call of duty,or what ever.that really good.thats makes satisfaction...

HEH ??? :odd:

If I understand you right, you're seriously saying the penalty and DR-system -that exist to keep "drivers" like you under control- is nonsense ?!?!? WTF ???

@Lebowski , @Alpha Cipher sorry guys, but obviously you were right at all

@dinoco_91 The problem is with people taking the DR rating too seriously. @rono_thomas remarked that DR is a measure of how quick you are. That's only partially true. Once your DR gets chopped down by a bad SR rating, the notion that it represents your speed is false. I've gone from 41k to 7k in one race. So to say I became a massively slower driver within a 10 minute span is ridiculous.

The rating really doesn't mean 🤬. Just don't take it so seriously. A real racing series doesn't take away the points you've earned because you have a wreck. This game is just recreation. I've had a lot more fun since I quit caring about the ratings. Embrace the lower ratings. Go fast, have fun, and if a dirty driver hits you, hit em back.

Not really,

This is an indicator of the player's "speed." There are six different ratings in total: E, D, C, B, A, and S. "E" is the lowest rating, and "S" is the highest. Achieving good results in Sport Mode races will increase your Driver Rating. Your rating will decrease if you fail to achieve a certain level of results. Please note, however, that your Sportsmanship Rating needs to meet the required standard for your Driver Rating to increase. All players start with a Driver's Rating of "E."

Your being penalised for poor SR.

Still is a measurement of speed.

No they dont take away, they give you points and race bans, which would you prefer?

Umm, I play NHL for the fights.

I'm listening but I'm only hearing my inner voice which is quite amusingly telling me that when people say "listen" to me it generally doubles my sarcasm output. But you're right, I'm extremely smart. You should see my Paul Smith suit.

You're missing the point of what he's saying. He's saying that DR isn't the be-all and end-all and is only as good as the instant it is reviewed. I am, generally, a low 'A'/ high 'B' rated driver in terms of pace, however I got shunted by someone and my DR tanked to the 'E' limit.

That doesn't suddenly mean I'm a slow driver, and it takes AGES of good pace and clean races to get back up to B or A, so the rating isn't necessarily indicative. It's supposed to be, but often isn't.

I've beaten A+ drivers, and I've lost to D rated ones...
