Hello there!

I'm not really a great drifter myself. I can just about manage it, but they aren't fluent.
I just get a 200-500hp car (preferable RWD but others will work too), turn TCS and ASM off, and turn hard into corners.
When the back end whip round, let down the power, and when it's sliding, gradually put power back on.
Sometimes I find it helps to use the handbrake ( O button ) during long-ish corners.

My preferred car for drifting is the Silvia Varietta with all modifications except turbo, but favoured cars can vary for different people.
I suggest you play around with different combinations, and find out which car suits you best, because you may be finding it difficult to drift because the car you're using is difficult to drift.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what you should do.
Have fun:)

cheers mate. i was practicing most of the night lol but i can now sorta drift a bit better, i think it was the fact that the car i used was hard to drift like you said. an i might have been the fact that the cars were over 700bhp lol how stupid was i!!!
now my favorite cars so far are the toms chaser, sprinter, silvia 2000cc, and tuscan speed 6

It's no problem:)

Let me know how you get on;)

And just a quickie- I find Apricot Hill to be the best drifting track:)

oh ok will try that.

i have been trying the complex string, thats good fun a bit tricky but plenty of corners to practice on lol.

what set ups do you use? do you change a lot of the suspension settings? i havent tried any of that yet but have been trying different tires and power mods

I tend to keep most settings stock.

I sometimes change suspesion to a higher rate and lower.

Hi,
You might wanna make some changes to your settings, and check some settings guides and the settings depot, also try to feint and as for the DS2, I could for a moment drift better with the DS2 than the steering wheel (DFP), and try to use manual if you didn't before.

Try to record a vid. just film it with a camera if you don't have a comp. with a video capture card, it's very hard to tell what your doing wrong at the moment, cause you really NEED to drift with GT3, it's just too addicting:D:tup:

hi, i tried to change some of the settings such as spring rate, stabilisers and what not. and it does help a lot for controlling the drift since the front wheels seem to get a bit more grip.
i have a few short vidoe clips i took with my digi cam (not very good quality) i just filmed the clips striaght off the T.V
the car im using now and finding a lot easier to drift is the mines skyline (not quite sure on model)

but like you say it is VERY addicting lol cant wait for GT4

I finally checked the GT3 drift section after a long GT4 drift period, sorry for not responding to these vids. I had adviced you to make, sorry, but I'm downloading now and edit it later:)

DS2 user here.

people with DS2 are pretty darn good drifters too.
people with wheels makes the drift smoother, and make counter steering easier
practice makes it perfect :]

no one hardly come to GT3 section anymore...
lol. stupid GT4, makes GT3 section loney

well, im off playing GT4.
cheers
