I was addicted last Summer. I remember I re-discovered the site and had just gotten my S-lisence, so I thought I was hot stuff. Made a bunch of posts in the GT3 forums and then became addicted to the PS2/Computer sections. I've since then expanded my tastes, including the occasional post in the Opinions forum.

My ppd doesn't really show that I've been here over two years; I have more posts at other forums I've only been at for half my time here. I just like to come here and look around now, making posts when I'm either bored or just feel like I want to share my opinion. I think that's why GTP is such a succesful site. If you don't feel like posting, there's plenty to read, and vice versa.

edit: I just thought I'd share that I remember when Solid Lifters joined, mainly because he used that avatar with the walking guy, and was the first one I had seen use it.

I'm definitely addicted. I'll usually stop in for an hour before bed while my wife plays Ratchet & Clank, and again while I make and have my morning cup of joe at work. I've got to hope for no good threads because if there are that morning break lasts an hour or more... so I need to ration myself carefully.

Look at my join date. My first post was over a year after it. So for a while, I was the polar opposite of addicted. I had the GTF, and I had it for years, so I was comfortable there.

Of course, then someone ventured into Accutane-induced insanity, so a bunch of us formed a new board. It's my primary place on the web because it's a community I've grown used to and enjoy, but I've started to come here more on a regular basis for the gaming end of things. This place is what the GTF was in the GT2 days; the online resource for any of the latest news. I try to branch out to some of the other boards when I can, but the GT-related stuf is my primary reason for being here, and in that case, yes, I'm addicted.

Well, I think i will step back from GTP for exactly one month started at the end of this post. I know it doesn't really effect anyone else except me, but for some reason, I had to post it.

Cheesy or not, I am gone for a month.

Peace Out

I have a problem with GTP, but I have cut back recently.

You know he is still browsing logged out, and his finger is just itching on the login button.

Well, well well. Look what we have here. You made it three days. Not bad. :)

Oh dear god, the site has addicted us. I'll bet even if we Jordan never saw this thing again, it would go on and on. Eventually it would become self-aware and start making it's own posts. It would then proceed to infect every electronic device in the world with addictive car information. We would become a race of car freaks, with nothing better to do. Oh dear god, it's already starting!!!!1

Owned. :p

Actually, that posts per day lies. I normally average 50 or more posts a day.

All without postwhoring, for the most part, thank you, Cosmic. :irked: :dunce:

Just wait till you roll around 2 years here.

Sometimes, trips to Monaco take me away from GTP for a while. I think its worth it. Call a vacation, if you will from GTP.

When I was new, I had averaged around 60 posts per day, but a lot go to post-whoring. After about 2 weeks, I straightened up. My goal is get 5,000 posts by March 15 without whoring.

RIP-Darin AKA The Post Whore King.

Thank goodness I'm a school-aholic rather than a GTP addict. But since school's been on break, it's: turn on computer, log-in, open browser, click gtp bookmark... After NewYears, I'll be gone again. Been off the GTP a while, but back. And to add to that, been off the PS2 and GT3 in forever--the rest of you probably think that is crazy.

[Sorry if doublepost]
Indeed it does. That's why my clock says December 21st and he was online yesterday, therefore the 20th.

Well, I have failed my mandate, but two times was accidental...like turn on the computer, get on the net, sign in to GTP, "OH CRAP" forgot I wasn't supposed to be on, but this time its for christmas, I am at work, but is the 24th of Dec. and no one is looking to do any sort of deals / mergers / transactions.... good times, feels good to be on GTP

It also doesn't help when this is your homepage, either. *I'm just going to check out how much a new SD card will set me back. I might as well see if anything interesting is going on on GTP* At least that's what I do and three hours later...
