some of you oldies might know me as i was a big time poster on the gt3 forum till i lost my copy of the said game, had nothing then to contribute and stopped posting. I decided not to buy it again cause i knew gt4 was coming out soon... a year later and i finally have it :crazy:

I have only played gt4 for about 2 hrs and so far it seems quite good, but either my skills have taken a nose dive or the handling characteristics in gt4 are different. either way it gotta be a winner! :sly:

glad to see theres already a weekly race comp going as i was in the gt3 one. I might join that once i get up and running (and I'm cashed up $$$).

I see with gt4 there is still that fine line between never catching the lead car and blitzing him... oh well not complaining i guess 👍

I have started with a yellow 2nd hand civic sir and bought a race flywheel for it straight away. the sunday cup finished with but a few troubles I upgraded the suspension and exhaust to semi race and went to the ff challenge. I really struggled with a few of the races there as the civic just didnt have anywhere near enough power and the leaders just pulled away. I then added a NA tune 1 and now i am blitzing them... go figure. :/

anyhow. this is just to say hi.
I'll post more as i race more. I'll even do race writeups as i did in gt3 cause its fun :D

Congrats on getting the game! I think you will like it a alot more than GT3!

How`s it goin` ving. If you happen to lose your copy of GT4 too, feel free to keep posting anyway. Hell, I keep posting & certainly don`t have anything to contribute. Like you said, "cuz it`s fun". LOL!
 
The fiats arent readily avaliable in Oz... but i noticed gt4 has one... I'll have to get it for old times sake :)
it looks better than the gt3 one :D

Now come on OG, they aren't all ugly... I kinda like that little Giulia Sprint GTA (or whatever it is) It is an acquired taste. I know "Rolf" is liking it 👍 Probably the one Fiat Ving wouldn't like though :lol:

th e game only came out onthe 10th and I didnt get a chance to buy for a couple of weeks. :)

billy now has a friend, her name is bonnie. they live quite happily together :D
billy is er... very friendly with her :crazy:

family life is all good too. got me a new hobby for nights... astronomy :D
its great.

Um the only Giulia Sprint 1600 GTA I know is an Alfa Romeo. ;)

Hello, I dunno you yet, but that's probably because I never played GT3 and didn't bother to sign up before info of GT4 started to leak. I came straight from GT2, old skool style. Pretty much a step up the ladder to play GT4 now.

anyhow got 3 cars now. I'm gettign there. a civic sir2 the car from the sunday cup and a rx7 rs.... no money for a fiat yet but then I dont get to play much :)

Welcome back VING...yes it is harder but the hardest part is when you finally reach the GT world championship..took me 2 nights to beat it..lol

Anyway welcome back.

be interested to know what people do with asm and tcs. I had mine off for gt3 and I am doing it for gt4 too.... is this just cutting my throat?
 
For the most part, I have had mine off or set at 0/0/1 and it hasn't hurt me. Seems to be pretty much the same as GT3 to me. I almost feel like it hurts worse in GT4 to have it on.

tricky jet, very tricky... trying to come to grips with it atm. I've decide the no asm and just a touch of tcs is the way to go for now tho. brakes are touchy with the ds2 controller tho.
