Ever since the 1.06 patch, with cars that I normally turn the ABS off: Ferrari F40, McLaren F1, TVRs and all the race cars, the braking is less sensitive meaning it's harder to lock the brake up.

Prior to the patch even with adjustment to the brake sensitivity/bias which I normally set to 3:1 for stock/production cars and 4:2 for race cars, even the slightest brake actuation at high speed would cause the car to lose its balance. Now I can brake from high speed while the brake will lock, it's harder to lose the car.

Wow I had set up brakes exactly the same before on most road cars- 3:1, now noticing same as you but I ended up using 4:1 after 1.06. I thought I noticed a difference. I use no aids, no ABS, a G25 with modded brake pedal spring.

Not sure if anyone posted this but you can use the parking brake to actually park your car and keep it from moving. Just come to a complete stop and press the e-brake :)

It was there before.

Yeah, take longer to grind up credits, and the b***ards stole the only chrome paint I was sitting on when they updated. Friggin' thing just disappeared. Really pissed off!!! That's a hidden feature for ya!!

Thanks a heap!!

Damage was definitely updated on the mclaren f1. The front and rear bumpers were hanging off when I was driving it yesterday. I drove it in an endurance race before and couldnt even put a dent in it.

I'm really pi**ed about that too. Same thing happened. Had somebody warned us about this, I would have sent a car to that account, painted it and then sent it back. Now my only silver chrome has just vanished. Ironically, Matte colors are still allowed to be traded.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I noticed in the tuning menu there's now a ballast adjuster and power limiter, from 1.06 for PP's I'm guessing? I didn't know till I was setting up my car for a race

I notice that rain tire seems to be better under raining condition now 👍

Oh good, I once obliterated a field of cars in the Mugen Civic got back to the lobby and "Oh my god, I'm still on intermediate racing tires." "That ain't right!"
So yeah, to me the rain tires didn't have the advantage you might think they should have, at least on some tracks anyway.

I have not played for a few weeks and just put it in to discover 1.07 to be installed. I am surprised at two updates so close together.

90 secs till I find out what its all about!

I see!

How about the engine power limiter? That was a surprise to see. No more scrolling through parts to see what you can take off to meet Hp restrictions, not that it was a problem for me though.

Hooray! Your favourites show first in the menu in online lobbies now, finally! Still no pics though, is a shame.

Few extra options/restrictions in online now as well. Tire/fuel wear on off, and what i think is an excellent idea, a repeater so you can race over and over.

Does anyone else think they've fixed that shadow glitch thing you'd get when hopping over kerbs? (One of the shadows would disappear).

Maybe I'm imagining it.

I noticed that glitch very often and I hated it, especially on Nordschleife, where you often run over curbs.

But I think, it is still there, when I am right.

I was wondering, why I am suddenly so good with braking :D

I noticed some difference, too. At the release of the game, I was so disappointed about the way too sensitive brakes and with my Driving Force Pro I couldn´t deactivate ABS, even when I set the force to 3:1. I very often loosed my car while hard braking so I activated ABS to 1.

But now, I came back to deactivate ABS, set 3:1 to street cars and 4:2 to race cars...and man, it is very cool now. I still can´t fully push the brake pedal, but I feels much smoother and controlable now... and it is so much more fun when you see, when the wheels are blocking and smoke rises up :dopey:

But as negative aspect: some cars still loose the rear way too fast even with force 1 :guilty:

I think it's gone.
I had another look, with a few cars I used to run quite a bit at the 'ring, and must have seen the glitch with, but nothing - it's a consistent shadow now as you go over the kerbs, no glitching or anything.

That sounds really good. Nice to read, that they fixed it....thanx

Yeah I mentioned that earlier in the thread (or one of the other 1.06/1.07 threads). That bug was annoying on replays especially, really made the game look unfinished. As far as I can tell, it is completely fixed since 1.06. I was looking for that.
