They haven't been released yet but I assume some of them will be in the rally ack and then January's DLC

Just sounds like some car packs are just an "unlock code" for dlc already on the disc. We just saw half of these come out in the rally pack... But I want the LFA N-ring edition right MEOW

Okay, so what's in the rally expansion besides more cars, Turn 10?

Edit: Never mind. Just took a look at the rally thread. :D

I'm guessing this is what we're looking at:

Rally Pack (known)
  1. 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth
  2. 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale
  3. 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR
  4. 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
  5. 1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four
  6. 2003 Ford SVT Focus (Season Pass)

January Pack (projected)
  1. 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV
  2. 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
  3. 1983 GMC G-1500 Vandura
  4. 2012 Lotus Exige S
  5. 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR
  6. 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
  7. 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition (Bonus 7th Car)

Matches up quite nicely.

Glad the Vandura appears to be making the switch, seems lost in the Forza 4 ether.

Okay, just to get this straight. There's DLC locked on the disc. Meaning PG had the time, disc space, and resources to put it on the disc prior to release. Keep in mind that that was one of the excuses that were usually brought up when discussing the DLC: No time, no licenses, no disc space. And now, we find out that the stuff is already on the disc and they're selling unlock codes to us?

Don't know about you guys, but this pisses me off to no end. That's a perfect example of cutting content from the game, recycled content no less (at least partially) only to be sold seperately.

And guess what, I'm more excited about Megaman x Streetfighter being released on the 17th than the Rally Pack. Yeah, guess you could say that I'm pretty close to being done with this game.

To be honest I'm not to suprised. I knew the DLC will be locked on the disk anyway, which is sad and funny at the same time to say the least.

And for the rally pack. Sure it looks really good and fun, but I'll like to know how fast someone will finish it. If they finish it in a day or two than no thanks to this pack... That is all.

Just because its locked doesn't mean its all there. They could have just loaded some things in prep from dlc to speed up downloads. Maybe 1/5th of what needs to be on there is there. This was the case with Homefront where people thought they were just selling the unlock when in reality what people found on the disc was just prep. It's very possible... Especially when you consider that Nov and Dec Dlc wasn't already on the disc...

The downloads have been 100mb or so, which would be rather excessive for an unlock code?

I highly doubt that to be the case. Not after seeing the current DLC strategy they've gone with.

In all honesty, stuffing 100MB of trash into a download doesn't seem hard - and seems as likely as having preperation material on the disc. I, for one, wouldn't put stuff like that beyond them anymore.

Leaked DLC: originally due to be revealed next week.

That 86 Civic is the absolute highlight of any of the DLC so far for me. It's old, smart looking and for once, won't be massively overpowered.

Just because someone can beat it in a day or two doesn't mean it's short. Some people just have a lot of time on their hands and/or they can't pace themselves and only care about getting to the end.

And can't wait to see what the '86 Civic is like. :D

Than I'll like to see them do it again and again for the other packs.. Boy that's A LOT TIME they have on them. Still not to suprised..

Now you're just making up things to justify your hatred.

I guess that's the same sort of free DLC that FM3 got when T10 partnered up with Hyundai? Seems similar. Would be nice if more car manufacturers considered that way of advertising their cars 👍

No.

The link in the OP describes what happened. It was a fluke of the Marketplace. This isn't one of those "check out what files I dug up" threads.

That '86 Civic = so full of want. Thanks for the heads-up, ALAN!

OR, they added the base data (Autoshow picture and category, PI rating) in the December DLC or title update? And the January DLC will include the 3D models/textures/physics/animations/etc.

Okay, if iit's not actually on the disc, that'd change a lot, I think.
