Hey, so I love driving 4WD cars, they just suit my driving style more so than FR or MR cars... I can drive those, but I find it much more enjoyable to drive 4WD cars... which brings me to my question... what are the best normal 4WD cars? The best I found so far is the top Impreza (forgot the name), but that doesn't even reach 600pp... is there anything that can be tuned higher? I think my next purchase will be the 4WD NSX Concept... how is that car? Is there anything else that's under 1 mill that can be tuned to around 630-650?

Also... what about racing cars? Are there any 4WD race cars that can compete with LMPs? Any good 650pp 4WDs?

I'm mainly interested in the 600-650 range for both normal and race cars... but would also love to know any 4WDs that can keep up with the LMPs...

The Veyron or one of those Skyline, maybe the Pikes Peak cars can keep up too with LMPs

The Veyron? Keep up with LMPs . Maybe if you are running on SSX. Try it on a track that has corners and see how many times the LMPs lap the Veyron.

There are a few that can compete against the AI when the AI is using LMPs cars, the old Suzuli Dirt car is the only one I know of that may be able to compete if a decent driver is behind the wheel of the LMP

Well, the Skyline GT-Rs can be tuned up to that level, but if you have more to spend, the R35 GT-R, both versions of the Audi R8, and many of the Lamborghinis have the potential to reach 600PP or more. The Veyron is even faster, almost unbeatable by road cars on a straight road, but is not the best choice for twisty tracks.

There's always the GTByCitroen Concept...

There are a few Lamborghinis that fit the bill and the Nissan GTR R35 touring car is also worth a look.....

For road cars:

TommyKaira ZZII
Lambo Aventador
Lambo Murcielago
Lambo Reventon
Lambo Gallardo
Audi R8
Nissan GTR's too but I dont like them

The R34 Skyline (premium) is around 600 or 620 fully tuned. The new GT-R R35 Black edition is around 670 fully tuned, I don't like the way it drives though. It's to heavy and drives nearly as bad as a Veyron...

So basically bottom line is... normal cars will be the GT-Rs and all the Lambos... I'm not the biggest fan of Audis, and the Veyron doesn't count as a car honestly lol...

For 600-650 race cars it again seems like the only choice is GT-R/Skyline... is HKS CT230R drivable? Anyone tried it?

For LMP class, it looks like there is an outside chance that the Pikes Peak cars will work but sort of unlikely?

What about the Mitsubishi HSR-II? Anyone have it/know what it's like? I remember having it in GT5 but I wasn't very impressed... what about GT6? Maybe it's better now? I like the idea of it...

Oh yea, forgot about the ZZII... I have it but for some reason it just doesn't feel like a 4WD car to me... I still end up driving it like a F/MR... maybe I need the right tune? Anyone know of a ZZII tune that makes it feel like a 4WD car? Seriously... all I want for Christmas (I guess past Christmas lol) is a 650pp normal Impreza or Lancer...

It feels MR because it's mid engined with 4WD like the Audi R8.

The GT-R Black Edition fully modified is really quick on a track, although I prefer it detuned a bit just to make it more manageable. Otherwise I'd recommend the Monster Sport SX4, that'll keep up with LMP's without too much trouble from what I've found. If you're looking for something slower but still really good, either version of the Impreza touring car is a good option, they handle really nicely.

The Subaru Super Touring Car maxes out at just a bit over 600PP and at 600 is very good on many tracks. I haven't been able to beat my time in it on Bathurst with any other 600pp car as of yet

Thanks! Yea, I was going to try Impreza touring car... the question is... touring or super touring? Which one is better? So... anyone tried the CT230R or HSR-II?

About 4WD race cars, IMO the best ones are:

Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car
FTO Super Touring Car

those are really really fast. The FTO is the best on corners and the Calibra is good in both corners and straightline speed.

The CT230R understeers pretty much whatever you do, but it's quick. As NixxxoN mentioned above, the FTO is a beast, lacks a bit of straight line speed but the cornering is fantastic. If you're looking at the Impreza, the old style one is probably quicker due to it having a decent amount of downforce. The new version is quick too, and you get the advantage that it's a premium model.

Thanks, and by old you mean the super touring?

I forgot the Audi Pike's Peak Rally Car........it is a rather excellent car that handles well and is quite capable.

I think that's what it's called, the bug eyed one.

The 2012 Pikes Peak car is electric and from what I hear it understeers quite a bit. It's also nowhere near as fast as the SX4.

Welp... that was a waste of 1.6 mill for me... looks like I'll have to get the SX4 now... I had the Tajima one in the garage but never raced it... so now the real question... SX4 or the old red Suzuki?!

Wonder if they will ever add the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak, then it will def be the choice. But probably over 650PP. :p

TommyKaira ZZII is a must. Been that way for several revisions of the game now.

I have the ZZII, I know it's good, but it just doesn't feel like a 4WD car, same as the R8... you end up having to drive it like an MR car
