As a former 5.0 Fox owner you will definitely love this car. Definitely more power than any 16 year old would need, so don't end up wrapping yourself around a pole. Oh and they're incredibly sketchy in the rain with that high torque short wheelbase combo....

As for engines.... Stick with the 5.0 for sure.........

Nice engine. ;)👍

The '93 you're talking about is not a Cobra. Or are you talking about ND4SPD's red fox on further up the page? His ain't a cobra either  That was some canadian trim package or something, he posted it about it in the thread for that car

It looks like the one up there, but the actual sticker on the inside of the door has Cobra written.

Good choice on a Fox Body, its a great platform. Get subframe connectors!
I know you are a blue oval guy but the LS1 is a pretty easy swap on fox bodies these days, pretty common on ls1tech. The LS series pretty much destroys anything else $/hp. It might sound sacrilegious, but I would rather have a LSx in my car than the 3v I have now.

Conversely you could do a terminator setup or a SVT Lightning 5.4.

Booooooo.

Coyote 5.0L > LSx

Booooooo.

Coyote 5.0L > LSx

Coyote is so damn expensive and the #8 cylinder issue needs to be better resolved. LSx is proven.

Edit, just a few thoughts:

if you have to go 60 over I'd question whether the cylinder walls are thick enough, might be worth getting a new block. By built once, you mean it had forged internals in it? I was also confused by supercharging it but doing 12:1 compression. You need to decide early if you are building a blown motor or a naturally aspirated one. It might be hard on the wallet to make 500 horsepower naturally aspirated on a 351. Consider getting a 460 if thats your goal.

More than anything you want forged internals if you go f/i.

You will need a built rear axle. 8.8" will probably be fine for 500, but factor the cost in for that and it will add another thousand or so to the cost of the build.

Do the tails, grille, bumper, wheels and spoiler match with these? It's hard to tell if it's a clone without any pics man!

@Mustang

That's better. The red one is the exact same trim with the wheels from the first pictures.

Sounds like a clone from that. If the rear end doesn't match up with the teal one, it's not a real cobra.

Side note, I really dig those wheels

Must be. The rear end matches up with the first images.

Just found out the GT they want $5500, all new rims, and a new (and built) 5.0 and it's the one with the good body I said was garaged.
