Does anyone know what the highest paying event is in GT5?

The advanced go - karts payed quite good , 100.000 cr a race which you earn in like 2-3 mins. trouble is you cant repeat it.

The turbo series in expert,lvl 19 gives 30k credits for 3 laps,can be done in any turbo car.

Not sure on any above lvl 19 though

Like the wind 2nd course only gives 71,000 Cr in 3,30 minutes and 3400 exp.
Its pretty ok IMO. I use the Minolta Toyota full accell every turn, its not that hard.

The race on indy for the american series in extreme events, 98k and takes about 5 minutes including loading times in a fully modified + race tunes ZR1 corvette

89k and change for 5 laps of rome, deep forest or monza - Extreme Events -> European Championship

Grab a gallardo or something ridiculous like that and go pound some seriously slow opponents for 5 mins. Easy Money!

I find Bob slows down quite a bit if I am not giving him "pace up" commands a few times each lap so leaving him in an enduro race unmonitored may be a risky plan.

Try to do the seasonal events!
the Dream Car Championship race at Spa-Francorchamps gives 294,000 appx for 10 mins of racing
with the 200% boost that's 1 million in less than half an hour!

I just run my B-spec guys through the Dream Car Championship in the X 2010. Check in every 20 minutes or so to start them on the next race. Pays around 100,000 per race plus about 500,000 for winning the series. So over a million every 100 minutes or so.

Some of the events in the lounge for special events can assure you a high winning, but those are available only once. So I reckon the races of seasonal events are the quickest way for you to gain a mound of cash at a time.
