I especially like the way the car’s decals so far as THIS COULD BE YOU and YOUR LOGO HERE and THIS IS A COOL SPOT. Part of me hopes they race like that, not because they won’t have a sponsor to their credit, but because it would be a delightful (albeit unintentional) parody of commercialism in the sport.

I was kind of hoping that Tata would be a title sponsor, though. Because then it would be Tata Hispania Racing. Or, with a well-placed comma and hyphen: Ta-ta, Hispania Racing.

Are those images pictures or computer made? I don't see a launch of the actual car anywhere, just these images being sent out with a few nice words

I find it pretty ironic that the slowest car on the grid is also one of the best looking!

Though, the alternative to sponsors reminds me of one of those custom t-shirts that have a generic "Your Text Here" to show what it would look like.

They should've hired the guys at Designer's Republik, who did the artwork/team logos etc for the Wipeout games on PSX, But at least my eyes won't burn this year.

The chequered flag on it is a little cliche, it is however the closest they will get to it.
I'm sure most of us could have made a better livery.

Actually I will commend the large numbers, on some of last years cars they were not easy to spot at all, if it weren't for the different coloured helmets, we would have had a problem.

Looks like Daniel Simon does have a sense of humour. Aside from the THIS COULD BE YOU decals, there are smaller ones like "Car ends here" on the rear wing and "You are being filmed" near the camera mounting and "ATTENTION: strong sucking effect - hold onto something when standing here" next to the sidepod.

Did you miss the giant BRUNO and SAKON and KARUN and CHRISTIAN on the sidepods?

Those were 'fun', but I meant most of the other cars had small numbers, and were placed on top of the body between the front axle and cockpit (about half the size of numbers used in early 90s, which were smack on the nose for all to see).

F111? So, how are they saying that?

They can't call it the F1 eleven, as this is an F1 eleven...

That looks really nice! Like the sponsorship attraction logos:lol:

Possible the F-eleven-1, F-triple 1, F-2 ones and a one:dopey:

I can't take it seriously at all, horrible looking car. 👎

lol there's a bit of that going around this year, Ferrari with their pickup truck, Lotus Renault with their old Nissan Skyline, Sauber with their Volvo hatchback coupe...

It looks like a BAR-Honda Lucy Strike livery painted onto a 2008 BMW Sauber.

Haha that's being generous! I absolutely fail to understand the big red blob on the sidepods, it's an eyesore that just throws the rest of the car into the depths of livery hell seen only by the wonders of the 1992 Brabham..

The livery does look a lot better than last years car, and if they run the car with those "sponsors" I would be impressed.👍
But yeah... design wise it isn't really anything impressive in my opinions, looks a bit too plain and dull to be competitive. I just feel bad that they are gonna be struggling at the back like last year... :(

For me that has to be the best looking car on the grid , that livery has an Indy car feel to it and I love it! I can't be sure but I think there was a competition held for the design. It instantly remind me of that Cosmic Motors artist because their liveries look similar and on further inspection it was done by them!

It would be funny if they ran the car the whole season with the 'this could be you' and 'cool spot here' logos. I do hope they get some decent sponsors though.

If they stick around for a few years its going to be called an F111111111lolololol!

Robin.

Hopefully the car is fast enough to be included in the race due to the 107% qualifying rule being reintroduced. Otherwise this car might never see the chequered flag which will be quite ironic given the livery.

Love the creative liverly.
The update car of the is little though.
But i like the car, not bad for some backrow team.

They may just be a stand-in, to show that the car has a full livery. I wouldn't, however, be entirely surprised if the final livery, with sponsors (if they can find any) retains them.

... 'Little'?

Do you want to change your statement?

Can anyone make out what the text says with the arrow pointing into the side pod? Does it say 'Hispania did all the work in here' or something?

Gosh seeing last years car again it looked less advanced than a Formula 2 car!

Robin.

It says something like "ATTENTION: strong sucking effect. Hold onto something when standing here". They're all over the car; there's one on the rear wing that reads "The car ends here", a third on up near the camera mounting that says words to the effect of "You are being filmed", another in the cockpit that is "Warning: car is very fast. For professional drivers only". There's also one just under the Tata logo, pointing at the ribbon that divides the red from the white, but I can't make out what it says.

Umm no.

The same chassis, the same front wing (except the wing board), the same airbox, the same cover engine( they just put the 'fin' add on and alter the rear), the same sidepod, and the same suspension from what i've seen.

So, the upgrade thingy?
Probably the diffuser, rear wing, engine cover, mirror, exhaust outlet, and front wing mounting.

This are consider 'little' for the F1 sport.

Granted, there are some parts that have remained the same. But the whole nose assembly is completely different; it's a cross between last year's Virgin and Mercedes. The sidepods are a completely different shape, particularly the forward opening, and the rear end is much tighter. The car also has a double shark fin, with the squared-off RB7-style one, which then drops down to a leading edge that is high enough to reach the bottom of the rear wing. Don't forget that they've also had a compelte re-working of the innards, with a Williams gearbox and new hydraulics, both of which proved problematic last year.
