I just had an idea. We all know the F1 license is extremely expensive and belongs to codemasters. so how about GT doing a historic single seater DLC package.

F1 was much more exciting in the 60's and 70's anyway. I would pay £10 for a full pack of historic single seater racing cars. a historic track would be nice too.

Anyone else fancy being the next Stirling Moss or Jackie Stewart on GT5 ?

In a word, yes.

I would definitely part with my money for that. I'm thinking some classic F1 racers bundled with Silverstone, would be awesome 👍

I don't even like driving with the Formulas so, no.

Certainly

I would go for

Ferrari 156 sharknose ( Hill)

Ferrari 312 ( Lauda)

Ferrari 312t4 ( Gilles Villeneuve)

Brabham Fan Car

Lotus 79 (Ronnie Peterson)

Williams FW07 ( alan jones)

Vanwall

Lotus 49 (jim clark)

SURE, yes. That would be great. I read somewhere, that the old FGT was a replica of Senna's F1 car, not sure which one...

I now have to go clean all the drool off of my keyboard !!!!! 👍

There were two f1 cars before in gt - one was a replica of the Williams FW12B active suspension car I think, and the other was the Mclaren of Prost/Senna.

Neither had their f1 liveries,, but you can recognise the cars

Edit - Actually I think it was the fw14b ???

There was 6 f1 cars in GT3 indeed.

F094/H Damon Hill 1994 Williams Renault V10
F090/S 1990 McLaren Honda MP4/5B
F686/M Nigel Mansell's 1986 Williams Honda FW11
F686/S **
F687/S Ayrton Senna's 1987 Lotus Honda 99t
F688/S 1988 McLaren MP4/4

I want this more than anything else. Really, really bad I want this! In fact I would even be thrilled with a "vintage FGT" if they couldn't get the license rights to the real cars.

^ Damn it, now I want the standard models from GT3 as DLC. Not joking. How many nice cars they removed from previous games... all those stuff replaced by other Skylines lol.

they were so sexy. I miss those beasts

F094/S- Schumacher's Benetton?

If they added the MP4/4 as DLC I would actually faint, that car is simply amazing.

McLaren MP4/4 plus the Brabham Fan Car thing please. If Kaz actually did that then I would never moan about GT5 again.

Add Fangio's Maserati 250F, and I will pay out my ass to download it.

Older grand prix cars are something I would definitely pay for, I don't really care what era. 1996 Williams FW18, 1983 Brabham BT52, 1976 Tyrrell P34 (6-wheeler), 1967 Lotus 49, 1957 Maserati 250F, a 50s Vanwall, a 1930s Mercedes v Auto Union seasonal event. I would love to see something from the true pioneer days of city-to-city motor racing from the turn of the twentieth century.

They can't, Formula One Management holds all rights to anything F1 past or present and they won't licence them to PD as they have Codemasters as their exclusive game maker. In fact one of the F1 2011 development staff has already stated in an interview that even for them it's difficult to get the historic cars and make them accurate because of the issues with the sponsors on the cars i.e they can get the rights to the actual car but sponsors and colour schemes is a different matter.

Any classic race cars, I would be all over like a fat kid on a donut.

Old F1 (I'd kill to have a shot at Hakkinen's McLaren or the Tyrrell with four wheels up front)
Old Indy (All the way back to before they broke the 100mph mark)
More Old LeMans (Particularly the Porsche 917 - Damn you EA)
Old Trans Am cars (Who wouldn't love running the Camaros vs the Challengers and AMXs?)

I'd even accept old NASCARS like the Superbird.

I would buy the DLC
eventough I don't like te drive single seaters

But they are a importent part of motorsport historie

That's exactly why I suggested a vintage FGT. PD owns the rights to the FGT as it is a fictional car they created, they should make a new one modeled after the 60's era Formula cars. No license restrictions then. 👍

For one it doesnt old any rights for the Ferrari F1s... Ferrari owns its rights... second F1 CE had the rights to several F1 classic cars and that was also a Sony game... third PD could just import this F1s from GT3 and call them what they want and there would be no problem like there was none in GT3.
