I'm stuck on this event and cannot seem to win it at all. The Chaperall and the Toyota 7 are simply too quick for me.

What would be the best car for this event? All I have is a Corvette Stingray. :\

Skip it for now and return later. You should consider trading for one of the 20 mil cars or you can win one of them later (much later though) in the game.
Best car is the Toyota 7.

Also I forgot to mention - just tried the P4 Ferrari. Wasn't good enough either.

Should I tune it? Would that actually allow me to win? Don't wanna spend a whole lot of money to tune to realise it does nothing D:

You should be able to win with the Ferrari, tune it if you want, the 2J and Toyota 7 are still faster, but as it's the AI who's driving you should be able to win ;)
Just make sure that neither the 2J or 7 starts in front, like P1-P3, otherwise you'll have a hard time catching them again :)

im on this one as well, and struggling. Its as if im not there, they have no interest in trying to avoid not smashing me into the wall at every chance.

I also forgot how bad the coding was for crashes, my car is made of the same materials as paper cups, and the AI cars are actually panzers in costume of race cars.

i got mad one race and just tried to smash them, and they acted as if a gentle breeze hit them where i get thrown from one side of the track to the other if they even come near me

i have to say if the rest of the races from this point forward, i will go back to forza, cause i didnt buy a bumper car game

I won with the ferrari 67, it wasnt easy but trimmed to max soft tires somehow worked even tho the margin wasnt much in the last seconds.

Lambo countach can do it. Tune it all the way and get in first as soon as possible. If you let a 2j or 7 ahead you might as well restart.

I did it in the 330 P4, all I did was give it an oil change & put racing softs on.

It wasn't easy, I won the first race by about 0.2 seconds with the Toyota 7 blasting up behind me. I'd have lost if the race was any longer.

These races are winable if you stick at it…

I eventually won it with the Lambo as well. It wasn't easy, and it was tuned to the max. The trick at Cote D'Azur is to dive bomb the first corner to get the lead, you kind of actually have to smash into a few cars :)

Once I did that I was able to put down some clean laps and stay out in front.

Anyone care to share their tune to this car? Or post a link if it is already posted in the tuning section. I looked for it, but did not find one.

Thanks

Just lower the ride height and toughen up the springs. Gearing to 162mph for Deep Forest, same or a fraction higher for Monaco.

DFR is the harder of the two, but both tracks you can force into 1st on the first corner and just hold it from there, bit of blocking on the straight on the last lap or two may be required.
