ok, I didnt say anything when you made your first pictures thread.
The growing trend among members who just got the game, and just discovered photomode, is to do exactly as you did - start a thread and post their pics (although I dont endorse it). So I was okay with your first thread, its just a natural knee-jerk type reaction - although there is a better spot to post them (just to prevent future clutter).

However, if starting picture threads left-right-and-center is going to become a habit of yours, then I think someone should fill you in on a few things:
We have a thread for drift pictures. Here's the link: Photomode Drift Photos.

Also, there's no reason whatsoever that you couldn't have editted your previous thread and stuffed these in there, and then changed the title to accomodate the S15 pics.
just a suggestion, help us keep the forums clean.
👍

Just use common sense and post your photos in a thread devoted to photos. Its not difficult to figure out why everyone making their own photo posts would be bad for the forums. Its fine if your new and make the mistake once of course.

I give him credit for making a thread with a title that has a shred of insight to what the thread details. I think this past week alone has hurt this forums renown, even if just a little. I must've seen at least 10 new threads in the past two or three days going something like this...
"Dirft pics come look it's cool i'm l33t" or
"My new car sideways check it out out" or
"How do i do the drift thing ppl???!?1?!??" or
"I never read the stickies"

Two Cents,

It's not personal. What Tankspanker is doing is try to help keep the number of redundant threads down. I mean, honestly, how many different threads do we need for drift pics? Drift videos I can understand since that takes more time and effort. But as far as pics go, they are cool and a lot of fun. However, we shouldn't make new thread every time someone has fun with photomode.

I'm thinking of making either a specific thread for all makes of cars...Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, etc. That way we don't have 50 S15 drift threads.

you should take it easy yourself, read TankSpanker's post again, he's notifying to the creator of this thread in a very nice/polite way, there is nothing bad or harsh about it.

yes, thanks Swift and Stanley
My post wasnt meant to be offensive or anything of that nature. I simply fail to see the need to create two individual threads of remarkably simlar content within one 12hr period.

This is a user-friendly forum, and as far as I'm concerned, I havent done anything unfriendly. Certainly part of keeping it user-friendly is allowing members to post what they want to post. The other less thought of side of 'user-friendliness' is that this place should also be easy to navigate. Members should be able to find their answers or other paraphernalia in a sensible place, this requires sensible posting.

Notice that in any thread where I've made comments such as the ones above, I have always suggested or gave a link to a more appropriate location for their posting. I have never suggested that a post was unwelcome - (with the exception of spam messages, or threads that didnt get mod approval in the main forum and ended up posted here instead)

Everyone here is human, and humans are prone to human mistakes, its a fact of life. I realize this. But when it is apparent that no attempt to search a topic or to find a suitable place for a post has been made, I do not intend to stand idly by and watch.

I know I seem like a nag, or a hard-ass. So be it, I'm not gonna change. But know that my intentions are decent. I'm not out to make a bad example of anyone. But I'm also not going to hesitate to do so if a post is made out of shear ignorance.

...maybe my avatar just exudes foul intent..... :indiff:
