So after class me and my friend were having our usual STi vs. EVO argument while waiting for the bus. Now, I've never lost this argument, but today, I just stopped and enjoyed as a 2012 GT-R pulled up to the light infront of us. When I was younger my dad owned numerous supercars so it wasn't a insane once in a lifetime thing to me but it was the closest I had ever been to a GT-R besides to one at the NY International Auto Show. Seeing it on he road was unreal and when the driver looked over, waved to us, and pushed the launch control button, I think I may have had a little sexual excitement jump into me. When that light turned green, I had tears in my eyes as that thing dissapeared faster then I could ever have imagined. It truely is THE supercar of the 21st century and I will not even attempt to argue that because I really don't care about anyone else's opinion on the matter. Well, the best part of the story comes from what happened the next day. When I got off of the bus and started walking home, he passed by me and pulled into the bank right infront of me. He got out and asked if I was the kid infront of (my school) yesterday. I quickly shouted yes and he bega to show me the car. Thank God he knew more about it then me because I've embarresed plenty of rich idiots who don't know the difference between a V10 and a V12. It really was great to meet the guy and get to see and learn about the car first hand. If only I had known him better and I had my permit... I would've really put that car through it's paces :)

Sounds like he's gearing up to ask if you want to see some puppies...

Whenever I see GT-Rs I get to tell the owners I've raced one at Silverstone. The look on their faces doesn't get old.

The question was, did he have the tranny properly warm before he did it?

I actually asked him that when I saw him. He had just driven for over an hour from Jersey to New York so it was definitely warmed up and he checked the telemetry monitor before he launched it just to make sure. The guy really knew his stuff, unlike a lot of exotic owners around here.

I've seen the first version of the GTR before pass by my bus stop at school and stopped next to me. I wanted him to launch off, but an old lady driving a buick was in front of him! T_T I will forever savor that moment. :dopey:

Pretty cool man. It's funny I read this as I pass a 2012 still in the plastic f from the factory. Some rich guy is picking it up tomorrow I believe.
