this tourny sure is showing the differences in gearing and such

Well my splits are:
T1: 30.319
T2: 1'06.125
I just keep watching the replay over and over.
The 2000GT looks soo good how can I lose?:)

T1: 30.172
T2: 105.xxx I forget

Good stuff so far, I'm really likeing the urnout. :D

Cheers,
Jetboy

I think it's time for me to post some t-times, to represent the only FF car competing 💡

The Concrete Sections are Legal, given that half of these cars handle about as well as a ham sndwhich. ;)

Cheers,
Jetboy

Well in that case i will have to run my lap again as i kept my car on the track, no gray bits

Ran some laps the other night, taking care to avoid the concrete sections, and came up with the following (Renault 5 Turbo '80, +14% power, 0%weight)

T1 31.264
T2 1'07.128

Now that I know we can cut the concrete sections, I'll have to give it another go. This thing is veeeeeerrrrrry slithery on N3 though!!!

Okay, I was chatting with Fangio, and it seems everything is in order. He's hitting fricken fast times, but they're believeable. Aparently he has a rather good background with road racing. ;) Any other questions and so forth, please ask, gents (and lady;)).

Cheers,
Jetboy

Provisional T-Times:
T1: 30.683
T2: 1'06.147

#UPDATE#
T1: 30.518
T2: 1'05.858

These might be my best times, but I'll try it again and again because now all I need is some sleep... :yuck:

I'll say his laptime for Arcade (which he gave by mistake in the registration thread) is certainly possible, I'm within a whisker or two of that myself. What's questionable are the splits he posted. They're 4-5s quicker than anyone else at T1, 8-10s quicker than my best at T2, and yet I'm within 1-2s of his time at the line! :boggled:
That's what's unbelieveable! If he truly is Mr. J. M. Fangio esq. reincarnate and hitting such excellent T times, why is his T2-Finish sector only worthy of Nicolas Cugnot's 1770 "Fardier à vapeur" by comparison?

Have just seen a 1'06.097 T2 myself in the Renault, but spoiled it by getting 3 wheels on the grass outside the kerbing on the final turn. :grumpy:
More to come.....👍

Nah, he posted me his true splits in a PM. Something of a 28.9 and a late 1'03.xxx for the T's. It's all good...he's damned quick. I'm forwarding him to the WRS. 👍

Cheers,
Jetboy

i just got back from a big weekend so i haven't touched this for 3 days but i'll also say that my splits could be aprrox 3-5 secs faster as i never went on to the grey stuff, and i haven't had a whole lap that i am 100% satisfied with, but i did notice because i already had a ghost replay of the evo, that some sections it is way faster than the wrx but i put it down to lighter weight/better suspension...

Had a quick 9 laps or so in the Elan last night:

T1 - 31.2xx
T2 - 1.07.3xx

Finding it hard to get a good clean line around turn 1 and the 3rd-to-last (left hander at the crest of the hill just after the final tunnel.) Which is odd because these are normally two of the easiest turns to get right :odd:

I'm liking the Elan though. I doubt it's quick enough to fight for top spot, but it's damn satisfying to drive 👍

update my T times:

29.288/1:03.627

Now to a matter of grave importance, oh Keeper Of The Contest.

My times in your series were the source of much consternation and discussion, so I enlisted the aid of one who is more experienced withGT4 than I, my neighbors 13 year old son. I showed him the thread that held the requirements for vehicle set up, and then showed him how I had set up my Benz. He pointed out that while I had disabled one of the driving aids, I had left the stability aid stil engaged. I had thought, erroneously, that by disabling one I had disabled both. I am indeed mortified, and appologize for any distress this caused. I beg forgiveness of you and the membership of this esteemed community. It was not done with any malicious intent, it was an error of grevious proportions. Should my withdrawl from this series be required, I will understand.

In kindness would you forward this to the appropriate thread, I am again deeply sorry for this offense.

I Remain

Yours Humbly

Fangio
Okay, found our small problem and now it's fixed. We're all good. 👍

@jimeez: Smokin splits!
@TheCracker: The Elan holds its own in the series, but the long sections requiring loads of power/ accelleration/ top speed are hurting it this race. The next couple of weeks will hold her well. :D

Cheers,
Jetboy

@fangio12151956 everyone makes a mistake. I have made my fair share. Just make the changes you need to and turn more laps. Your time made me go back and try just alittle harder on my time. Thanks 👍

if that is your bday you are only 3 yrs younger than I am and us old farts have to stick together ;) 👍

Good Sqire Jimeez,
Alas 'twere it indeed be the date of my birth. The numbers are iin fact random, and the subject of some discussion. I have been traversing this blue orb for nigh on 62 years, so us greybeards do need to stick together "kid"!

Latest splits:

T1 - 30.479
T2 - 1.06.083

I think that's all i can get out of the diminutive Elan on this particular circuit.

Greetings Ye Merry Band Of Olde Skoolers!
I come humbly before ye to present the times of my most excellent war horse.
To prevent any error in preperation, my pit crew set up my Benzo according to the prescribed formula, my only input was to choose the color(Pearl Green), and to drive of course. I hope I have acquitted myself well.
T1- 32.010
T2- 108.518
I look forward to the next leg against this most excellent assembly of motorheads!
As Always,
Your Long Winded Servant
Fangio

Last splits update for me, finally got some more time to run this combo, and tamed the spritely rear-end of this rambunctious Renault!

T1 30.559
T2 1'05.967

Using +14% power (181HP on setup screen) and 0% weight.
Have a quick question though, I noticed from reviewing my replay, that the HP is listed as 182HP. Can you check this is the same for you too Jetboys427?
