It included a 1,998 cc (1.998 L; 121.9 cu in) K20A engine rated 220 PS (160 kW; 220 hp)@8000rpm and 206 N·m (152 lb·ft)@6000rpm, 6-speed manual transmission, and 17-inch aluminium wheels with 215/45R17 tires.[1] A Mugen Motorsports concept was unveiled in 2009 Pro shop Refill.[

I expected it to make Semi_Premium status at some point. one of the best looking cars in the real life.
 
Would anyone confirm that this is the last Type-R model of the Accord lineup? If the answer is 'yes', we have a good reason to convert it into a premium model.

Visuals are great, the design may still live for another few years. I suppose people racing in online departments are having fun replicating touring car using this model - I would.

Statistically, this model is as fast as the older Euro-R we have in the game, hence why I would remove that one in case only one must prevail.

Yes @Matej it is the last Type-R model. There is Type S model however but it was diesel and more cosmetic than performance.

Thanks for the replay, I presumed it was the last Type-R model, so I gave my vote to the car in that name.

However, there is something confusing regarding that CL7 generation. I've been doing a research around the 'net, it seems that Type-S versions produced exactly the same power and were even equipped with bigger 2.4 liter engine.

It seems to me that the S was the R in Europe, at least during CL7 generation. Can anyone verify this, where is the difference?

Im not Accord expert but I think that Type-S was just trim level. Type-S had like 200HP. It never had 6speed and LSD that Euro R had. Euro R is a true sports version even if it looks like a sleeper.

I did a little research around the 'net and concluded the following:

The performance CL7 was never available as Type-R model. In Japan it was available as Euro-R (just a different nomenclature), featuring 2.0 liter engine that cultivates 220 ponies. Other markets got Type-S, featuring 2.4 liter engine, which complained about 190 ponies it needed to sustain.

The Type-S was the fastest CL7 model Europeans could buy. However, unlike the Euro-R, it was not suited for sports driving. Suspension is soft, suited for comfortable driving. 'Type-S' badge actually represents wealthy equipment you get in the car. The car does have a 6-speed 'box though, I'm not sure about LSD.


So yes, @Neddo had a good hunch. I hope the bolded statements clarify many things for people who are interested in this car. Be free to add anything I forgot. :)

You're right. There isn't much to be added; it would require another thread which is not that necessary honestly
