Yet another classic battle, this time between Japan's good old 73xcc bikes, The Honda CB750, which is an all time great, against the Suzuki GT750. Who's going to take the glory here?

The Suze is a water-cooled 2-stroke triple, a bit heavy, around 65 to 70 HP. Nicknamed the water buffalo in the states, the kettle in Britain. As a 2-stroke it was unable to meet more demanding emissions regulations later in its life.
The Honda was a more standard air-cooled 4-stroke, and made more power than the Suzuki, but not a lot more.
The Suzuki might be more significant historically (end of the big 2-strokes) but the Honda was a better bike.

There's a guy in my home town (whom I've not met) has the Suzuki, and in recently rode an Iron Butt SS1000 on it, 2-up, wife as passenger! If you don't know what an SS1000 is, it's a documented ride of at least 1000 miles in 24 hours or less. It's the minimum ride to qualify for membership in the Iron Butt Association, an international club for long distance riders.
