She got me on Friday, first in a shopping centre when I was looking for somewhere to get a cheap Xmas jumper for the office party, then twice more at that same party. The game was rigged from the start.

I hope the lyrics "All I want" in this wordsearch puzzle in my Words With Friends mobile gacha game today don't count as being Careyed. Hopefully it's just a near miss and Mariah is flexing her evil snow queen reality-influencing powers merely as a warning.

I got new information about the origin of this challenge.

The very frist Wham!-challenge was posted on poisonfree.com, a formerly forum for punk and hardcore music.

The first thread in my German gaming forum is from 2009. The first thread on poisonfree.com was at least two years older (2007). The guy who opened the very first thread on poisonfree.com is known, but died in a bicycle accident a few years ago.

Its worked for me so far! No radio, everything set to mute, and no Christmas parties. However, being with my sister and nieces for Christmas week might yield defeat. 🤞

Don't tell me that. I'm in the ER right now. A lady turned into me on my way to work and totaled my truck. My left shoulder started hurting so I'm here now.

Got Carey’d to a shallow grave today courtesy of a coworker playing it on their phone in their cubicle.

Just in time too I guess because this weekend I do need to go shopping for presents and actually start caring about Christmas lol.

I'm still safe. All the shops around me seem to be getting cheaper with their christmas music choices, either covers or carols. I've not heard Mariah, not heard Wham, Wizzard, Slade, I've not even heard the Pogues. Long may it continue.
 
I survived a day of shopping with the wife on saturday.

BUT then on sunday i heard a hardstyle version, i reckon that counts too?

Now that I don’t have to avoid it anymore, I can enjoy it with my daughter as she likes the song very much. It ain’t a bad song, neither was Last Christmas. The fun is just trying not to hear it. But once you have and you’re out of the game, why not enjoy it?

Surprisingly I have been safe. I almost got caught a couple of times on my own accord but I would switch stations before I could figure out which version it was and one time I threw my earbuds off :lol:
 
Had a close call today. A place were playing Christmas songs and All I Want For Christmas Is You was on the list, but I fortunately didn't hear it. Eventually, I will be struck for a 4th time, I am almost certain...

Update : thankfully I didn't hear it while I was in the ER, but I came close on Saturday when I was at the dealership looking at trucks. I ended up buying a 2018 Ram Power Wagon, and I'm on my way to pick it up now. Hopefully I don't hear while I'm signing the paperwork.
