So is the Honda Odyssey supposed to be the new Renault Espace?

I miss that one :(
 
I´ll give it a try when it appears at the ucd , will paint it purpe!
 
I've already used mine online in a few instances, though.. i should prolly play aroudn with it a bit more, cause mine understeers like it's got trolley wheels.
but oversteer can be provoked.

I only did a few races though.
But it handles superbly, a low top speed but you can change that.

I had already bought one a while ago. I added the removable upgrades. It only has 290 HP (only has Sports Exhaust) and some Sports Softs. Left the Centre Diff on 35/65 and gave it try at the 'Ring. For the weight it was actually pretty good, though 8:40 is not spectacular I suppose (need to practice the 'Ring a little more). Not much sign of understeer... fortunately.

Nope, everyone used racing softs.
A Audi RS6 or something was able to keep up with me around Deep Forest though.
 
I must agree here I bought an Odey for fun. Painted it lime green and modded it up. Went to the track and was blown away with the handling. Its now my new drift car :)
I wish I could see the face of all the silvia drivers when I pass them sideways...with the kids in the back seats.
 
Makes me miss the Espace F1. Now THAT was a minivan.
 
The only thing I've fine tuned in my car was transmission, I don't know what understeeer everyone is talking about...
I'll definitely be driving this thing more often!
 
No love for the Avantime? A friend beat my Odyssey twice on two different tracks using the that van.

Ah, I haven't driven that yet, or even bought it.
I just simply dismissed it.
Looks like I'll be giving that a go too.
 
Handles good? Am I driving the same odyssey as you? Lol mine handles like a tank, although I havent messed with the settings. It's pretty funny to whip that out online though, I think mine has about 430hp lol

It can easily do less than 7:30 at the Nurburgring!
It can take a lot of turns flat out where other race cars can't.
Have you bought EVERYTHING for it?
Aero parts, suspension, drivetrain, racing soft etc.

A Midget can take almost all turns flat out as well!

i worked at a honda dealership for a few years and my favorite cars to drive were the s2k's and the odyssey vans. they were fast as **** and had a very smooth ride at top speed. haha fun times.

Makes me sad how you can hit 400 + hp out of this thing but a fully built b16 in the game doesnt even push 400 when in real life is easily capable of 600

thats because im pretty sure the mini van is a 6cyl with twice the displacment...

I was bored on GT5 so decided to play online.
I didn't know what car do bring so remembered the Honda Odyssey that I read about on this forum.
I thought that I might as well give it a go, so I power refreshed ONCE (enter and quit 6 times to get a fresh dealership) and got the Honda Odyssey immediately!
I tuned it to the max including rebuilds, aero parts and Racing Softs.
It blew away a lot of cars online, and handling better than some of the race cars that I have driven at the Nurburgring!
It's an amazing car, when someone brings one to an online race, you would just laugh at it.
No idea what to paint it, because I think I've just found another favourite car!
Now to persuade my Mum to get one...

After reading this , I went and bought one as soon as I found one. I fully tuned it for the ring, and anything else in the 400 bhp range will be obliterated by my Odyssey. It handles on rails mind you and is painted in Hemi Orange, just so everyone knows a family van has blitzed past :sly:

I'm interested in it. Anyone who knows how to tune suspension correctly makes the car much more deadly. XD
