They were moving but look at the way they were moving; not very conscious like :scared:

Carl.
I'd be more worried about the other racer... Zanardi lost two legs that way.
yeah.. its much better to be the one dishing out the energy than the next person in line to absorb it. :nervous:

🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬
That was horibal im supriesed that he is still alive that was a bad crash!Wonder how bad the injury's were to both of them it had to have bin prety bad.

These cars aremade to take crashes like this. I've seen some reeeeeeeeeaaaaaally bad WRC crashes and the driver's just get thrashed around for a couple seconds, land, swear at eachother and unbuckle to get out.

WRC rollcages can support at least 4x the weight of the vehicle itself. That gives you a good idea of the physics in a crash when you see the roll cages bent down 2 feet into the cabin.

I'm sure I've seen an external camera angle of that shunt. I think it's Grand-Am racing from America, and I think the track is Road America.

That's Jeremy Dale T-boning Fabrizio Barbazza in an IMSA race back in 1995. Barbazza was an ex-F1 driver (back of the pack in Minardi and AGS) driving the Ferrari 333SP. The accident was at Road Atlanta. Dales's Oldsmobile prototype hit Barbazza's (the yellow car) at more than 100mph. Barbazza's car split into two, and he sustained head injuries, a collapsed lung, a broken arm and leg, and went into a sedative-induced coma. Took more than a year to recover. Now he designs safety barriers. Dale also had multiple injuries and this ended his career. I think he now manages an American ChampCar racing team.

TOUCH DOWN!! FOOTBALL!!

I've seen a 333 in person, one of the only times I actually felt the energy of a car, without it even being close to a racetrack (or road for that matter). I was amazed.
