Hosting: All videos sabotaged

ok.. enough of the arguing.. why don't we all just sit down and try and find a solution to this problem.. instead of posting pointless hate posts..
 
Who's the person that's the owner of that FTP Account?

Why don't you guys ask him to email his Hosting Provider to see if they can do a log about who was in that FTP and when. I'm sure they can help you out, afterall they control the hosting.

Anyways, who is the generous provider of this Drifting Video space?
 
This saddens me to read. Been away for a bit only to come back and see that 19xx's server has been hit by some internet looser. I want to thank 19xx for letting me use his server for my vids, and I hope I will be able to upload future onse there. SOrry again about this crap you have to deal with 19xx. :(

Well its Dec 1 and hosting up... although I couldn't get things uploaded. Please help solve this problem with me... for everyone's sake:

i logged on.. but i cant seem to upload anything.. it denys me
 
I logged in, and tried to upload something, and it started calculating the time to upload etc, then it just quit. Hope that helps.
 
hm. anoymous upload apparenly does not work. it is also impossible to get sub FTP accounts, I already tried. now i must ask ppl this: do you feel confident to upload files with the potent risk of them being deleted?
 
I would, but then I'm on cable, so uploading only takes like 5 mins tops, no big :) I would say just make sure u dont overwrite any1's files, but then there's always the risk of some joker deleting them as a joke.

Why does anonymous uploading not work? is it not supported by your host?

im guessing that anonymous doesnt have the same privilages as the master. but yea.. i dont mind it being deleted.. as long as im able to upload! ;)
 
No, it seems like the security is too high ;)

I'll setup the log-in info to the previous settings then. I'll let you guys know when it's done.
 
As far as doing computer work, I don't like to be asked. That's why the service was free for all in the first place. Upload vids when you want, what you want, as long as it's under 25mb (used to be 30mb) and the bandwidth don't overflow.

Oh, no porn under a drifting-like filename, please. Seriously.
 
when the site is up can someone upload these videos cuz i dont have ftp and i cant get it and pm me if you will and after you do please pm the link the vids are in my sig
 
i agree strongly, my brother is a very well known person in the computing business. He calls up big companies and makes firewalls for their computers against "hackers" or "attackers". He will call them up and say i have been able to hack your computer and i am free to do whatever i want with your computers. And he just says he can "fill in the gaps" of the firewall. So some hackers are good but most are bad. And those of you who are bad hackers.....GET A LIFE!
 
IF you bro wasnt hired for the company to check thier security he would be in jail right now. Your a moron to if you read the posts his server was hacked its just that the account he let us use had to many permission so someoen decided to mess with 19xx and push delete.

Because it seems unnecessary to waste so much space for just hosting videos. To make long stories short, trackers aren't really for low bandwidth users. I just wish the logs can describe who deleted the files instead of just who got the files.

i think i got a ftp client but im kinda new to this(UPLOADING VIDS) but when i went to the link and i clicked on LOGIN link it went to the mail what do i do then :confused: :confused:

use this.. for login..
FTP upload:
host: www.gwinbeer.com
ID: drift@gwinbeer.com
pass: dorifto

from there.. the left side is your computer.. the right side is his ftp.. then just find the file you want to upload.. and double click it.. or click the "->" and it should upload.
 
Hey 19xx... I have a vast collection of drift movies from here on gtp. I believe I have almost everyone since I joined. When I have the money I am going to get a ftp of my own for business and pleasure, but in the mean time would you like anything to be uploaded to your ftp. Things like old comp videos and such... I will not be able to spend time uploading anything for a bit, but just pm me if there are any vids you would like back...
